New map
A brand-new map called District has been teased by the official Apex Legends handle. Leaks about it have surfaced on social media for the past few months, and with the debut of Season 22, players will finally get a chance to experience it.
That map reportedly features a minimum of 10 POIs (Points of Interest), some of which include:
- Oceania
- Street Market
- Resort
- Fan Slums
- Humbert Labs
- Hillside
- Electro Dam
- Drydock Arcade
- City Hall
- Blossom Drive
Confirmation on all these POIs will only be possible upon the official Apex Legends Season 22 launch on August 6, 2024.
Players are immensely excited as they will finally get to experience a brand-new map in the game after seven full seasons. Though the developer has implemented consistent map reworks, the thrill of a new one simply hits different.
District paves the way for new meta-comps and strategies to come into play. Players will get to spend weeks experimenting and playing around with the map's unique features and layout.
Battle Pass rework
The Apex Legends Battle Pass will receive a rework in Season 22.
Previously, the Battle Pass was filled with useless filler items. As per the official blog, the newly reworked Battle Pass will only be filled with high-tier skins and other in-game items.
Furthermore, instead of featuring a seasonal pass, the game will now feature Battle Passes per split. A season may feature up to three Battle Passes if it runs long enough.
