What to expect from Apex Legends Season 23?
The new Season 23 update for Apex Legends will potentially add the hyped Lifeline rework. This means that the Support legend will be able to enjoy a few new perks including a whole new ultimate ability. Here is a quick overview of the expected Lifeline abilities after the new rework:
- Combat Revive: Retains the same passive ability to revive allies with the drone. Additionally, Lifeline may be able to glide in the air by holding onto the drone for a limited duration.
- D.O.C Heal Drone: The drone is going to follow players instead of being a stationary healing drone.
- Shockbot 3000: This might be the new ultimate ability that will be able to throw away opponents from the vicinity and create a barrier that cannot be walked into. However, the equipment at the center may be destructible like Wattson’s ultimate.

Moving on, all Support class characters will likely receive a new passive ability that would allow players to throw healing items like MedKits and Batteries at their allies. While the exact effect of this is unknown, the items might heal teammates for a percentage of their original capacity. Furthermore, the Apex Legends Season 23 update might also bring some new changes to existing maps like Olympus.

Legend meta changes
One of the most exciting things to look out for in a new season of Apex Legends is the Legend updates. Season 22 has been dominated entirely by highly mobile Legends, such as Horizon, Revenant, Pathfinder, and so on. While on paper that might not seem like a big issue, it does feel quite redundant to queue into the games filled with the same characters over and over again.
These three Legends are undoubtedly the current meta picks in the game, and rightly so. While we have seen these characters get nerfed over and over again, it is clear that they have been made in the wrong direction.
If anything, we believe that the developers should look at fine-tuning the trio to better suit the game's needs. With the debut of Apex Legends Season 23, we have expectations from Respawn Entertainment to look into the stale Legend meta and incorporate changes that will help make the game feel lively once again.
Weapon changes
Understandably, some weapons stand out from the rest. There are always going to be meta weapons in a game, and we expect this list to keep changing on a seasonal basis, if not even more frequently. Season 22 has been dominated by the Nemesis, Mozambique Akimbo, and the Hemlok Burst AR. While Mozambique did get hotfixed, the others are yet to see changes.
We urge the developers to shake up the meta to make the game feel more interesting. Players can expect the care package weapons, and the gold weapons to get rotated with Apex Legends Season 23. If all goes well, we will also see a groundbreaking weapon-meta update.
