Astro Bot Mecha Leon boss walkthrough

The recently released PlayStation 5 title Astro Bot puts players on different worlds where they need to collect various bots and puzzle pieces before finally fighting the boss. As you enter the fourth world, Camo Cosmos, you will fight against a giant chameleon named Mecha Leon.

Even though the game is not that hard to complete, some of the boss fights can pose a challenge to some of the gamers. With that being said, here's every step you need to take to defeat Mecha Leon.

Before you get in a fight with Mecha Leon, you need to collect 150 bots to reach his location in the Camo Cosmos galaxy. You will find the humongous chameleon at the last stage of the level. This boss fight consists of three stages in total. The duration of each stage gets shorter as you progress but Mecha Leon's attack patterns remain the same.

Mecha Leon will throw small chamaeleons at you during the bout. Using the power-up acquired from this level, which lets you stop time with a watch, you can easily defeat all the small enemies. Stopping time will freeze the enemies, allowing you enough time to kill them.

Another attack that Mecha Leon will throw at you is the Tongue Splat. As its tongue touches the floor, stop time to freeze his tongue and enter his mouth to attack aggressively. Attack his uvula three times using the same method to finish the first stage of the fight.

As you transition from one stage to another, the chameleon will throw disc blades at you. Again, using your power-up, stop the blades and use them as platforms to enter the next stage.

The ground in stage two is breakable. Every time Mecha Leon attacks, there will be holes in the floor, making it tougher for you. Using the same pattern from stage one, attack Mecha Leon's uvula thrice to start the next stage.

Both left and right sides of the ground are breakable in the last stage, making the fight even tougher. Stay in the middle and wait for the boss to do a Tongue Splat attack again. Attack its uvula and pull and release his nose ring to finally end the fight.
