Astro Bot Wako Tako level walkthrough

Tentacle System (the second world of Astro Bot) has various levels, one of which is Wako Tako. Even though the game is fairly simple and easy, there are a few instances where you might get confused. Astro Bot pays tribute to a ton of PlayStation classics like God of War and Horizon Zero Dawn. Once you defeat Wako Tako, you will be awarded two bots from the God of War franchise.

To get the two bots that this stage has to offer, you need to defeat the boss first. The stage features a ton of PlayStation cameos, and you will be awarded the bots of Kratos and Atreus from God of War upon completing it.

How to fight Wako Tako in Astro Bot

If you have completed the rest of this stage, you will finally be up against Wako Tako, the giant octopus. Keep dodging the punches that Wako Tako throws at you. Once Wako Tako's fists get stuck in the ground, use the opportunity to punch the octopus by alternating between L2 and R2. You'll also need to defeat the spikey enemies it throws at you.

Wait for the boss' fists to get stuck again and keep using your boxing gloves to attack it. Grip tight to its suckers and slingshot into its face. Dodge the spiky urchins Wako Tako throws at you by timing your jumps. Get it to punch into the ink that has spilled on the ground. This will result in Wako Tako's fists getting stuck, giving you some more time to attack it.

Use your frog gloves power-up appropriately, and then slingshot into its face again to knock it over, ending the first phase of the boss fight.

Once the second stage begins, use the platforms to get as close to Wako Tako as possible. Jump over the waves that it throws at you, and keep going forward using the platforms. You can dodge the balls that it throws at you by keeping track of the shadows they cast on the ground as they fall. You'll need to dodge its attacks wisely during this phase and wait for Wako Tako to bend down.

Once it's vulnerable, attack its eye using L2 and R2. Repeat this until Wako Tako is stunned. You can then slingshot into its face one last time to knock it out.

Once you take down Wako Tako, the water will start flowing back into the sea. Search for a broken boat nearby. Approach the boat and fix it using your frog punch to finally rescue the two bots: Kratos and Atreus from God of War.
