FC Barcelona and Sevilla are two very popular La Liga teams in EA FC 25. They will be facing each other in a league fixture following the October 2024 International Break. The former has had a near-perfect start to the season and is currently at the top of the league table, whereas the latter hasn't had much luck so far. But besides real-life comparisons, it will also be interesting to see how the two fare against other in the latest EA FC installment.
So, in this article, we will compare Barcelona and Sevilla and try to analyze which is the better team in EA FC 25. Note that this comparison will take their best lineup into account.

Both La Liga teams use the 4-2-3-1 Wide formation. Polish veteran Robert Lewandowski leads the attack for FC Barcelona with an impressive rating of 88 in Shooting. He is also an adept dribbler in the game with a rating of 86. His Sevilla counterpart, Kelechi Iheanacho, only has a score of 74 in Shooting and 75 in Dribbling.
Dani Olmo plays Center Attacking Midfielder (CAM) for Barca with an 87 in Dribbling and 82 in Passing. Suso takes up this role for Sevilla with ratings for 83 and 80 in the two departments, respectively.
Raphinha is Barcelona's Left Midfielder with 91 Pace and 86 Dribbling. Chidera Ejuke gives the Brazilian tough competition with 90 Pace and 80 Dribbling. The Right Midfielders, Lamin Yamal and Dodi Lukebakio are also pretty close with the former having 82 Pace and Dribbling, and the latter 84 Pace and 82 Dribbling. However, Yamal has a better Overall rating.
Pedri and Frenkie De Jong form Barca's Center Defensive Midfield (CDM) pair. The former excels in Dribbling with a rating of 88, and so does the latter with a score of 87, as well as 86 in Passing.
Sevilla has Saul and Djibril Sow as its CDMs, and they are rated lower than their counterparts in Passing and Dribbling. Additionally, both the team's CDM pairs are only decent at Defending.
That said, Barcelona's backline looks better with Alejandro Balde, Ronald Araujo, Andreas Christensen, and Jules Kounde. All of them have better Overall and Defending EA FC 25 ratings than Sevilla's Adria Pedrosa, Nemanja Gudelj, Loic Bade, and veteran Jesus Navas.
As for Goalkeepers in these two EA FC 25 teams, Marc-Andre Ter Stegen (Overall 89) looks significantly better than Sevilla's Orjan Nyland (Overall 76).
Barcelona vs Sevilla: Team tactics
Taking a look at Barcelona and Sevilla's FC IQ Player Roles, we can see that eight of the former's have a + or a ++ role, whereas only five of Sevilla's players have +. This suggests the former team's players will be a lot better at their assigned duties.
Final verdict
Most of FC Barcelona's players in EA FC 25 have better ratings than those of Sevilla. Many of them also have Player Role+ or ++ available, which shows that Barcelona is the better of the two La Liga clubs in the game.
