The Battlefield 2042 x Dead Space crossover event will go live on July 9, 2024, and is scheduled to end on July 16, 2024. The crossover event will feature the Outbreak mode in Battlefield 2042 which will run for seven days in Season 7 Turning Point.
The Outbreak mode is a limited-time mode that takes inspiration from the zombie survival shooter genre and incorporates that into Battlefield's tactical extraction shooter experience.
This new mode pits players against hordes of undead where they have to work together as a team to survive waves of zombies and extract the objective to the vantage points.

The official trailer for the Battlefield 2042 x Dead Space crossover event featured a specialist in a CEC Engineering Suit. This suggests that the event could feature cosmetics inspired by the iconic characters from the Dead Space franchise.
The zombies aka Necromorphs from Dead Space will feature in this limited-time mode. Going by the official trailer, specialists will be deployed in teams to contain intel from infected zones and battle the undead to extract it.
