Electronic Arts(EA) has postponed the release date of Battlefield Hardline to early 2015, to put in more "more innovation”, according to CEO Andrew Wilson.
"We moved it because we thought there was more innovation that could go in the game," Wilson told earlier this week.
When Battlefield Hardline's hold-up was officially announced in July, DICE's Karl Magnus Troedsson explained that reaction from the beta aggravated the company to "start thinking about other possibilities and ways we could push Hardline innovation further and make the game even better."

There will be numerous changes in both single player and multi-player gaming, Troedsson said earlier. For multiplayer, Visceral Games plans to add "some new feature ideas that will evolve the cops and criminals fantasy into a truly unique Battlefield multiplayer experience." On the single-player mode, they use the extra months of development to spend "more time polishing our core features, as well as adding a few new ones that will support a deeper 'crime revenge' story experience." There will also be a whole lot of new guns, a new rescue mode and a lot more sophisticated vehicles which will make the experience even more worthwhile.
The company thinks about how the game will "translate into fun" and with the introduction of gameplay ideas and new features such as zip lines, tasers and lot of more ammo, the experience is going to be totally different than that of Battlefield 4..
Besides Battlefield Hardline, the company has delayed a number of high-profile games, as the company also postponed BioWare's role-playing game Dragon Age: Inquisition. Although this delay was only a month long, the CEO says it was essential to "get rid of the bugs".
Earlier this week, during the Gamesbeat, Wison told EA's focus on improvement is all part of the company's attempt to set up a "player-first" culture back into the company, signifying that EA had lost its charm before. Wilson said his work as the CEO is to create an environment where the creators think about the player as the "most important person" and making it a completely different experience for the players when designing new titles.
