The introduction of FC IQ in EA FC 25 has made tactical gameplay more interesting. Users can select from a plethora of Player Roles, as well as set up a Build-Up Style and Defensive Approach for their team. This lets them have more control over their players' behavior on the pitch. However, to ensure the best performance, you will need to use the correct settings for these parameters based on your team's chosen formation.
If your team is laid out in a 4141 formation, implementing the tactics discussed in this article should prove to be of help, whether it is Career Mode, Ultimate Team, or just a simple Kick Off game.

EA FC 25 guide: Best custom tactics for the 4141 formation
The 4141 formation utilizes a solitary Striker up front, a crowded five-player midfield that includes Left and Right Midfielders (LM and RM), two Center Midfielders (CM), and one Center Defensive Midfielder (CDM). The defensive line is pretty standard, featuring two Center Backs (CB), a Left Back (LB), and a Right Back (RB).
Using the Short Passing Build-Up Style and a Balanced Defensive Approach (with a Line Height of 50) seems best for this EA FC 25 formation. The crowded central zone should be able to keep possession and gradually ensure the progress of the ball further up the pitch.
EA FC 25 best 4141 tactics: Player Roles
Assigning the best-suited FC IQ Player Roles can give you the upper hand in matches. Some players will have a + or ++ sign displayed in certain roles, which basically means that they are the best choice for it. That said, the absence of these signs doesn't mean that they won't be fine for the role.
As for the 4141 formation, assign your Striker the Advanced Forward role and set Focus to Attack. The LM should play as Inside Forward with Attack Focus, the RM Winger with Balanced Focus, the left CM Holding with Defend Focus, and the right CM Playmaker with Attack Focus. The CDM should play in the Center Half role with Focus set to Defend. These Player Roles ensure that all your midfielders contribute to different aspects of the game.
In the backline, assign your EA FC 25 LB Attacking Wingback with Attack Focus, RB Falseback with Defend Focus, and both CBs Ball-Playing Defender with Build-Up Focus. As for the Goalkeeper, use the Sweeper Keeper Player Role and set Focus to Balanced.
