Monk Champion in Clash Royale is quite chaotic due to his knockback ability. He can reflect projectiles and has a high amount of health. The best way to deal with him is to apply enough pressure that he cannot handle, or take advantage of his weaknesses, which are the non-reflective cards.
It's crucial to understand Monk's attack timing to effectively parry and evade his powerful third strike. In this article, we have compiled a list of unique counters for the Monk Champion that can help you gain an advantage during combat.

1) Mini P. E. K. K. A

The Mini P.E.K.K.A is a direct, brutal counter to Monk, with 698 damage per swing, a great tool against champions with high health. It has high DPS, which can easily melt through the Monk’s health pool. The trick here is to place Mini P.E.K.K.A right after Monk to not get hit by the deflective properties.
Although Monk’s knockback does interrupt Mini P.E.K.K.A for a moment, its high mobility and projectile absorption make it certain that you’re dishing out continuous damage. Each hit makes Monk lose health points quickly, which makes him spend little time on the battlefield.
2) Skeleton Army
The overwhelming numbers in Skeleton Army makes it one of the most effective swarm cards against the Monk Champion in Clash Royale. Monk's single-target attacks have a hard time managing the large volume of units that spawn simultaneously.
Each skeleton deals 108 damage, rapidly reducing the Monk’s health. Use Skeleton Army when Monk's ability is on cooldown to prevent the knockback from eliminating your entire horde. Even though his third hit causes considerable damage, Skeleton Army still provides a fast and affordable answer to overpower Monk through its sheer volume.
3) Lumberjack
Lumberjack handles the Monk well, functioning both as a swift attacking force and as a source of rage upon death. Lumberjack quickly closes the distance at 1.6 tiles per second, before Monk can activate his knockback ability. Every strike from Lumberjack causes 290 damage, quickly lowering Monk’s health.
A post-death Rage spell, which accelerates all troops in the vicinity, sets Lumberjack apart from the rest. This ability makes it easier to send Monk off with additional units. Placing Lumberjack correctly allows him to deal maximum damage before neutralization, which boosts your counter strategy with speed.
4) Tornado
Tornado applies an effective challenge to the Monk Champion in Clash Royale. By taking Monk away from important units and towers, Tornado interrupts his positioning and allows you the time to either regroup or retarget. Tornado doesn’t cause direct harm, but with 129 damage per second, its enduring pull effect makes sure that Monk experiences consistent chip damage during repositioning.
Combining Tornado with troops that inflict splash damage, such as Baby Dragon, boosts its effectiveness because Monk’s reflective ability doesn’t cover spells. This synergy permits you to direct Monk’s position and gradually diminish his health in a manner that is low risk but high reward.
5) Fireball
Fireball deals 913 damage, which can severely weaken or eliminate the Monk Champion in Clash Royale when he's below 40% health. Since Fireball is a spell, Monk's knockback ability is unable to deflect it, making it a useful method for dealing burst damage without the fear of reflection.
Holding off on sending more troops lets Fireball maximize its splash damage, taking out support units and inflicting critical damage on Monk. The efficient trade nature of this 4-elixir cost is especially true when combined with other defensive counters.
