A new season of Imaginarium Theater is now underway in Genshin Impact. Imaginarium Theater is an endgame mode which refreshes on the first of every month. This current season is ongoing and will be available till January 31, following which it will be replaced by the next season of Imaginarium Theater.
This month's Imaginarium Theater features the three main Elements of Pyro, Cryo, and Geo. Bosses featured this season include the Primo Geovishap, Electro Regisvine, Solitary Suanni, and the Gluttonous Yumkasaur Mountain King. Of course, you might have to face only a few of these bosses depending on the level of difficulty you will be playing at.
This article discusses the best characters to use for Genshin Impact's Imaginarium Theater in January 2025, keeping the Elemental requirements of this season in mind.

Top characters to use for Genshin Impact Imaginarium Theater in January 2025
With this season of Imaginarium Theater focusing on Pyro, Cryo, and Geo, you will need to ensure that you have a handful of well-built characters of these elements in order to comfortably clear all the Acts. If you play on Easy or Normal mode, you won't need as many characters as you will if you choose to play on Hard or Visionary mode.
That said, these are the best characters to pick for the current season of Imaginarium Theater:
1) Mavuika (Main DPS)
Mavuika is a top pick for this season of Imaginarium Theater, both due to the Elemental preference as well as her extremely strong damage potential. If you are playing on Easy or Normal mode, you can use her for any of the Acts, as there is no need to save her for harder fights.
However, if you are playing on Hard or Visionary Mode, it is recommended to save Mavuika for the boss fights in Act 8 and Act 10, as these can be DPS checks, and you will need a strong damage dealer to finish the challenges on time.

2) Citlali (Sub-DPS/Support)
Citlali is another great option for this Imaginarium Theater. Citlali is top-tier support for Mavuika, and she also synergizes very well with her. If you can manage your character picks to play Mavuika and Citlali in one team, you will breeze through the fight, no matter how tanky the enemy is. Other than a Mavuika team, Citlali can perform well in other Melt teams with Pyro characters, such as Arlecchino, Diluc, and Hu Tao.
Furthermore, Citlali can help in quickly defeating enemies that require Cryo application to bring down their shields or freeze them, such as the Electro Regisvine and the Solitary Suanni.

3) Xilonen (Support)
Since Geo is a featured season element, Xilonen is a must-pick if you own her. In case you don't, it is highly recommended that you pick her as a Supporting Character from a friend's support lineup. Xilonen is currently one of the best supports, and she can greatly buff both your Pyro and Cryo DPS characters, no matter what team you put her in.
Of course, her best team would be with Mavuika and Citlali, but since there is a lot of RNG involved in Imaginarium Theater character picks, it might not be possible to find an opportunity to play all of them together. Regardless, Xilonen will boost any DPS character, so she is a great choice for this Imaginarium Theater season.

4) Navia (Main DPS)
Navia is currently the best Geo DPS character, which makes her very useful for this season of Imaginarium Theater. Navia has heavy frontloaded damage (via her Elemental Skill), which means she can be comfortably used even in Hard or Visionary mode as a main DPS against bosses like the Primo Geovishap. She excels at the Primo Geovishap boss fight not just because of her damage capabilities but also because she can generate Crystallize shields very quickly.
Additionally, the Brilliant Blessings for this season include Pyro Crystal and Cryo Crystal Blessings (which boost Geo, Pyro, and Cryo damage when Pyro Crystallize and Cryo Crystallize reactions are triggered), further adding to Navia's overall damage potential for this Imaginarium Theater rotation.
5) Arlecchino (Main DPS)
Whenever an Imaginarium Theater season features Pyro as one of the chosen elements, Arlecchino is a mandatory addition to the character lineup. She is a very strong Pyro DPS character in Genshin Impact and her fast attack speed guarantees that she can quickly defeat the tankiest of enemies.
For this season of Imaginarium Theater, Arlecchino is particularly good against the Gluttonous Yumkasaur Mountain King boss, as she can swiftly ignite the Flamegranates that it shoots out, thus dealing damage to the boss and stunning it. You can also team her up with Cryo off-field units such as Layla, Rosaria, or Kaeya for further Elemental Reaction damage.
6) Ganyu (Main DPS)
Ganyu is also a strong choice for this season of Imaginarium Theater. Her Elemental Burst provides steady off-field Cryo application that can be used by Pyro DPS characters for triggering Melt reactions. Furthermore, Ganyu is one of the best characters that you can use to break the Electro Regisvine's Corolla (shield).
Since Hydro unit Ayato is one of the Special Invitation characters this season, if you get lucky enough to pair Ganyu with Ayato in any of the Acts (especially a boss fight), you can make sure the enemies are perpetually frozen and unable to deal any attacks, giving you plenty of time to defeat them.
7) Xiangling (Sub-DPS/Support)
Even though Xiangling was launched way back in 2020, she is still one of the strongest Sub-DPS/support characters. She has incredible Pyro application thanks to her Elemental Burst Pyronado, and you can pair her with Cryo DPS units, such as Ayaka, Wriothesley, or Ganyu, for constant Melt reactions.
You can also use her as a sub-DPS in a Navia main DPS team, making sure that both she and Navia can gain the Pyro Crystal Brilliant Blessing buff.
8) Zhongli (Shielder/Support)
Zhongli is the best shielder in Genshin Impact, so if you feel the need to add a shielder to your Imaginarium Theater character lineup, Zhongli would be your best bet. Since this season of Imaginarium Theater features Cryo as well as Geo characters, you have the option of picking other Cryo shielders, such as Layla or Diona.
However, Zhongli not only provides shielding but also provides decent RES shred. Combined with the fact that his shield is the strongest, he is a good pick for players who want to have a shielder in their roster for the ongoing Imaginarium Theater.
9) Shenhe (Support)
If you own Ayaka and pick her as one of the characters to challenge this rotation of Imaginarium Theater, make sure you pick Shenhe too (if you have her). Shenhe is a great support for Ayaka, who can tremendously increase her overall damage. Players who have Ayaka but don't have Shenhe can borrow her as a Supporting Character from a friend. Alternatively, you can wait for the Genshin Impact 5.3 Chronicled Wish banner to pick and get her.
Of course, Shenhe can buff other Cryo characters as well, so she would make a good support option for this season of Imaginarium Theater.
11) Qiqi (Healer)
While Qiqi doesn't find much usage in the overworld or in Spiral Abyss these days, she is still a great healer for Imaginarium Theater. Players who play on Easy or Normal difficulties might not need a healer, but players who pick Hard or Visionary difficulties might be able to play more comfortably with a healer in the lineup. Qiqi's healing is both fast and good, so you can definitely add her to your character lineup.
