Ranking best characters to pull in Honkai Star Rail 2.5

6) Topaz and Numby

Topaz doesn’t strike as a must-pull character unless you build a follow-up team in Honkai Star Rail. She has always occupied a niche position since release, considering Numby’s auto attack is the only valuable aspect of her kit. On top of it, her damage output falls short when compared to other characters from The Hunt Path.

Additionally, Topaz relies on her Ultimate to enhance Numby’s attack. She is only effective when you build teams that complement her playstyle. For instance, you can pair Topaz with Jade, who can take advantage of Numby’s attack to charge her own ability. However, that’s no reason to prioritize her over the other units featured in patch 2.5.

5) Black Swan

Black Swan is one of the coveted 5-star units in Honkai Star Rail that belongs to the Nihility Path. She has made her way into various team compositions with her Wind Shear and ability to inflict debuff.

Black Swan’s most prominent composition includes either Acheron or Kafka, who, despite coming from the Lightning element, promotes a different playstyle. Acheron can use this Wind Nihility unit to reach her peak potential as a hyper carry. In contrast, Kafka can merge her Shock with Black Swan’s Wind Shear to inflict massive DoT.

Hence, consider pulling Black Swan to fill the vacancy of the specified teams.

4) Kafka

The best thing about Honkai Star Rail 2.5 reruns is that Kafka will be featured alongside Black Swan, so the DoT team is accessible. The former is a crucial pick considering she can trigger the damage-over-time effect on command.

Even without Black Swan, Kafka can output powerful Lightning DMG with accessible characters, so building her is a cakewalk. She has access to multiple options ranging from gacha 4-stars to the free Herta store LC when it comes to Light Cones, making it beneficial for newcomers.

3) Robin

With follow-up teams becoming an obvious choice in the end-game content, Robin has gained prominence as a support character in Honkai Star Rail. She follows the Harmony Path to access powerful buffs that can benefit allies.

Robin's Ultimate is a source of free damage and an action-forward button for the entire team. She also provides CRIT DMG through her passive, which has a complete uptime. Hence, most teams can immediately see their damage spike with Robin on their side.

Overall, Robin is a future-proof investment to be considered in version 2.5.

2) Feixiao

Feixiao will be released in the first phase of Honkai Star Rail 2.5 as a playable Wind character from The Hunt Path. She will take on the role of a DPS for various teams by unleashing her combat prowess as a hypercarry. Her damage output will likely be on par with the best damage dealer, if not better. Hence, you might want to summon her in the next update.

You can use Feixiao in various team compositions since she has access to follow-up attacks, high weakness break efficiency, and a nuke as an Ultimate. However, she will be able to reach her peak potential in a hybrid setup composed of Topaz and any dedicated support to boost her single-target damage.

1) Lingsha

The Honkai Star Rail phase two banner will introduce Lingsha to the playable roster. As an Abundance unit, she can heal allies and cleanse their debuff. She can also double as a hybrid support by unleashing her follow-up attacks and boosting Break DMG on enemies.

Ideally, Lingsha will be replacing Gallagher in the Break teams that have solid damage potential. She will also be a good companion for other compositions thanks to her flexible kit.
