Deadlock console commands are essential for players if they wish to quickly change their required settings mid-match. This is a rapid and efficient way of maneuvering through the game. Valve previously did the same with Counter-Strike 2 which ultimately provides a much easier user interface.

Deadlock is a new third-person shooter MOBA title from Valve. Readers should note that the game is currently in its playtest stage. Here are some of the best console commands to use in-game.

Let's look at some of the most useful Deadlock console commands you can learn. Some commands let you achieve more than the limit of the manual settings, like the crosshair gap command.

Note: Not all of these commands can be used in public matchmaking.

For practice modes and solo lobbies, to enable/disable cheats use:

  • sv_cheats [true/false]

After cheats have been enabled, the following commands can be used:

selecthero [hero_name]

Select your preferred Hero. You can even test out unreleased Heroes after checking the dump_hero_names command.

citadel_allow_purchasing_anywhere [true]

Allows the purchase of items anywhere on the map.

dump_hero_names

Shows a list of all the Heroes in the game including unreleased Heroes.

getpos

Get your current coordinates

setpos [number]

Move to the mentioned coordinates.

Moving on to the commands that do not require the ‘sv_cheats’ command.

Create a private custom lobby

citadel_region_override [number]

You can change your server region in Deadlock. Use (-1) for automatic, (0) for NA, (1) for EU, (2) for Asia, (3) for SA, and (5) for Oceania.

citadel_hud_visible [true/false]

To show or hide the HUD.

citadel_crosshair_pip_gap [number]

This command lets you adjust the gap in the Deadlock crosshair. You can even use negative values which is impossible to do manually

bindss [player] [key] [command]

To attach a command or input value to a key.

unbind [key]

To unbind the action from a key.

To use the Deadlock console commands, you must enable the console in-game. There are two ways to do so. The first, and the most obvious process:

  • Step 1 - Go to the ‘Options’ tab in your game’s Settings.
  • Step 2 - Click on the ‘Enable Console’ option.

Here's the second process:

  • Step 1 - Go to your Steam library.
  • Step 2 - Right-click on ‘Deadlock’ and go to ‘Properties.’
  • Step 3 - Write ‘-dev’ or -console’ under the ‘Launch Options’ section in the ‘General’ tab.
  • Step 4 - Open the game and your console should be enabled.

After enabling the console, press ‘F7’ in-game to open it. You are now free to use any Deadlock console command as per your needs.
