FC IQ Player Roles let you decide which player takes on what role on the pitch. This provides an extra layer of management and makes for more immersion. However, we must first set up the best formation with the right players for each position.

Those playing with Argentina in EA FC 25 should go with a 4-3-3 Holding formation. Up front, Nicolas Gonzalez is on the left wing, Lautaro Martinez is the central striker, and Lionel Messi is on the right wing.

Alexis Mac Allister, Rodrigo De Paul, and Enzo Fernandez comprise the midfield trio and will take up defensive as well as offensive responsibilities between them. At the back from left to right are Marcos Acuna, Lisandro Martinez, Cristian Romero, and Nahuel Molina, with Emiliano Martinez in goal.

Additionally, have players like Julian Alvarez, Giovani Lo Celso, Gonzalo Montiel, and Paulo Dybala on the bench. Manchester United's Alejandro Garnacho is also a good option as he has 86 Pace and can provide a burst of energy on the wings in the later stages of a match.

Lionel Messi has been assigned the Wide Playmaker++ role. He is also an incredible dribbler, so he should be used for a shot on goal whenever possible, especially with the Finesse Shot Playstyle available.

Nico Gonzalez on the other wing can take on defenders out wide with his 85 Pace and then cut in to attack due to the Inside Forward+ role. Lautaro Martinez, as already stated is the central striker, but with the False 9++ Player Role will drop deep and help with build-up play.

Each player in the midfield gets a different duty. Mac Allister has Box-to-Box++, De Paul has Playmaker+ and Enzo Fernandez has been assigned the Holding+ role. Behind the midfield, Marcos Acuna will play Falseback, with both Romero and Otamendi taking on the Stopper+ role and intercepting approaching opponents.

Given Nahuel Molina's 85 Pace, he has been assigned Attacking Winger+ to contribute in attack besides his defensive duties. Finally, Emiliano Martinez will take up the Sweeper Keeper+ Player Role.
