The new Player Roles mechanic in the EA FC 25 FC IQ system lets one dictate what roles their players will take up during a match. So, along with having the best possible formation with the right players, giving them the ideal Player Role is also important now.

Using a wide 4-4-2 Holding formation with Chelsea should work well. Joao Felix and Christopher Nkunku have some of the best Shooting ratings in the squad at 78 and 81, respectively. They are good at dribbling too and can lead the attack as well.

You can also have Nicolas Jackson in place of Felix as he is a tad bit faster and better in terms of Physicality in EA FC 25.

Mykhailo Mudryk occupies wide spaces with Cole Palmer on the other side. They both are good dribblers too, which should help you in progressing with the ball. Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez occupy the central midfield zones, with Marc Cucurella, Wesley Fofana, Axel Disasim, and Malo Gusto in the backline. Robert Sanchez will be in goal.

Joao Felix should be assigned Advanced Forward with his partner in attack, Christopher Nkunku, having a False 9+ role. Mudryk has 92 Pace and should utilize it to great effect with the Winger+ Player Role.

Cole Palmer has been given the Wide Playmaker+ role and can help in attack with his Dribbling and Passing. His Playstyles like Technical, Incisive Pass, and Whipped Pass should also be helpful. Note that Palmer has a good score in Shooting and equips the Finesse Shot Playstyle. Hence, you can take shots on goal with him whenever you get some space up the pitch.

Enzo Fernandez, equipped with Playstyles like Press Proven and Long Ball Pass+, can be given the Holding+ Player Role. Caicedo, on the other hand, has been assigned Deep Lying Playmaker+. He is equipped with Playstyles like Pinged Pass, Tiki Taka, and Press Proven to help with this role. The midfielder can help in defense as well with his Anticipate and Slide Tackle Playstyles.

Finally, assign Cucurella and Gusto Wingback+ roles, give the two Center Backs the Ball Playing Defender+ role, and set the goalkeeper as Sweeper Keeper+. These Player Roles should let you get the best out of these Chelsea players in EA FC 25.
