There are a ton of Elden Ring mods available to download and browse, via multiple sites (such as Nexus Mods). They offer significantly altered functionality over the base, vanilla version of Elden Ring, and its Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, opening up new possibilities.
While some of the mods are technically cheats, there do exist a set of patches that aim to add quality-of-life features to the game, such as widescreen support, which makes them quite worth trying.
A list of the best Elden Ring mods can be found detailed below, with their set of major features.
Note: This article is subjective and reflects the author’s opinions. Additionally, keep in mind that the usage of mods in multiplayer modes is strictly prohibited and can result in a ban. Readers are recommended to play Elden Ring in its offline mode for these modifications.

Some of these mods may also be broken after the recent v1.12 update. While compatibility is being worked on, it may take a while until full functionality is restored.
5 of the best Elden Ring mods you must try out
1) Seamless Co-op
Seamless Co-op aims to completely overhaul the multiplayer aspect of Elden Ring, offering much-needed enhancements and quality-of-life additions to the existing, vanilla experience. Interestingly, this mod also has a custom difficulty scaling, among other tweaks to “balance” the gameplay.
This particular Elden Ring mod uses completely different save files and does not connect to FromSoftware’s servers - disabling EAC in the process. This is to prevent potential bans.
Keep in mind that this Elden Ring mod is currently broken as of the v1.12 update.
2) Anti-cheat toggler and offline enabler
As the name implies, the Anti-cheat toggler and offline enabler simply disables the EAC anti-cheat, forcing the game to boot into its Offline mode. This is particularly useful for players who specifically wish to disable online matchmaking (for the usage of mods that would otherwise result in a ban) via a one-click solution.
This is perhaps the easiest way to toggle EAC within the game, as well as toggle the usage of mods - automating a large, cumbersome part of the process.
Keep in mind that online matchmaking is completely disabled with the usage of this mod.
3) The Convergence
One of the more impressive Elden Ring mods out there, The Convergence aims to completely overhaul the game, adding in fan-made features and additions over the base version.
The additions include the following:
- 27 new classes
- The ability to replay boss fights
- New crafting recipes and materials
- Fast travel via the Erdtree Network
- Additional equipment
- Reworked Dungeons
- New boss fights
The scope of the mod is truly impressive and is a great way to experience Elden Ring all over again.
4) Flawless Widescreen
The PC port of Elden Ring is quite anemic, only offering a handful of basic options to choose and tweak from. Features that are commonplace in modern AAA titles, such as widescreen support and high refresh rates are simply not baked into the vanilla version of the game.
This is where Elden Ring mods come into play. While not restricted to just Elden Ring, Flawless Widescreen offers widescreen support for games that do not natively support it - including several quality-of-life fixes such as fine-tuned UI elements and more.
Additionally, the mod is also capable of uncapping the framerate of the game, releasing it from the shackles of its disappointing 60 FPS cap.
5) Skip intro videos
Titled “Skip the intro logos and remove white startup screen”, this particular mod aims to simply remove the 5-second long delay between you starting a game and the Bandai Namco logo.
This can be very useful for players who wish to jump into a session of Elden Ring without wasting a few precious seconds on a start screen. This Elden Ring mod requires the Mod Loader to work properly.
