Escape from Tarkov is a resource-heavy online FPS title. Hence, players, especially newcomers, trying it out may get abysmally low framerates after loading into a raid. The smoother the viewing experience is the greater your advantage. The resource-intensive nature of the game can lead to some players quitting. However, everyone can easily boost their frames by tweaking some of the graphics settings.
We will take a look at the best graphics and PostFX settings you can use while playing Escape from Tarkov.

The best settings to tweak in Escape from Tarkov to get more frames
You can use the following graphics settings in Escape from Tarkov to get an advantage over the adversaries:
- Texture quality: Medium
- Shadows quality: Low
- Object LOD quality: 2
- Overall visibility: 1,000
- Clouds quality: low
- Anti-Aliasing: TAA
- NVIDIA DLSS: Off
- AMD FSR 2.2: Off
- AMD FSR 3.0: Off
- Resampling: 1x Off
- HBAO: Max performance
- Anisotropic filtering: Off
- NVIDIA Reflex Low Latency: On + Boost
- Sharpness: 0.6
Depending on how much VRAM you have, you can even set the Texture Quality to high (if you have 12 GB+ VRAM). Besides the Texture settings, set everything on low/medium since these don’t impact the game’s performance much.
We recommend turning off both DLSS and AMD FSR because it will downscale the game. The performance boost these provide is not worth the sacrifice in the visuals department. While things will be smoother, the game will appear blurry, making it quite hard to distinguish players from afar.
As for the checkboxes below, make sure to untick everything. If you have issues while playing Streets of Tarkov, you can turn on the “Streets of Tarkov Lower Texture Resolution Mode.”

Best PostFX settings in Escape from Tarkov
Besides graphics, you can tweak the PostFX settings for more clarity and potentially even higher framerates. Here are the PostFX settings you should be using in Escape from Tarkov:
- Brightness: 60
- Saturation: 60
- Clarity: 0
- Colorfulness: 50
- Luma Sharpening: 70
- Adaptive Sharpen: 0
- Color Grading: Cognac
- Color Grading Intensity: 45
- Colorblind mode: None
If you want high frames per second while having excellent color/visuals, you should not change the “Clarity” and “Adaptive Sharpen” settings and make sure both of them are “0.” Tweaking these will greatly impact the title’s performance.
