Being a pathfinder, Glaz has been in the game since the first day and has gone through several changes. However, with the current state of his kit in Operation Collision Point, he is a well-balanced fragger who can handle long-range engagements and be exceptionally strong on certain maps.

Glaz has one of the few seamlessly activating primary gadgets that can be turned on and off quite quickly. This makes it easy for him to switch between his scopes and get the desired effect when traversing the map. Having a machine pistol as a secondary weapon makes it easier to engage in CQB, making Glaz a strong operator in his own right.

Glaz is one of the few operators who comes equipped with just one primary weapon. The OTS-03 is a designated marksman rifle and features high distractibility. It has a semi-automatic operation, deals 71 damage per bullet, and has a 15+1 round magazine. The gun features low recoil, making it easy to fire the weapon.

DMRs are a strong category of weapons in Rainbow Six Siege, as they can kill opponents or put them in a downed but not out (DBNO) state very quickly. The OTS-03 is one of the finest if not the best DMR in the game and is only available to Glaz, making this attacker a force to be reckoned with.

With a buff that Glaz received sometime back, the Bearing-9 was added as a secondary weapon in his kit. This machine pistol is a preferred option, as it comes with automatic operation rather than the semi-automatic option and the hand cannon that Glaz can otherwise equip. The Bearing-9 has an extremely high fire rate of 1100rpm, 33 damage per bullet, and a 25+1 round magazine.

This machine pistol is what makes Glaz competent in CQB and a capable solo operator. However, the Bearing-9 has a noticeably high horizontal recoil, which makes choosing the right attachments a necessity for it to handle well.

Lastly, Claymores can be used to trap flanks or runouts to punish hyper-aggressive defenders.

Glaz can be classified as a solo operator in Rainbow Six Siege. His three-speed and one-armor kit allows him to take on a fragger role and reposition quickly when necessary. With the optimal attachments, you can have the best Glaz loadout in Rainbow Six Siege to take on defenders from long ranges and close-quarter gunfights with the Bearing-9 machine pistol.

Playing this operator requires map knowledge more than anything. He is not an optimal pick for every map on the ranked playlist: however, certain maps like Bank, Border, Chalet, Coastline, and Nighthaven Labs offer tactical advantages, making Glaz a strong pick. During the drone phase, ensure that your drone is placed in a spot that can assist your team with information necessary for the upcoming attack.

During the action phase, coordinate with your teammates to get into angles that can benefit the team and cut off defender rotations and/or strong angles. Before doing this, make sure you have the required choice of secondary gadgets and that they are used as per the team's requirements. This could be trapping runouts with claymores or assisting breaches with Frag or Smoke grenades.

The main objective of a Glaz player is to pressure defenders into giving up certain aggressive angles or punishing those who dare to peek. These can be IT double wall in Nighthaven Labs, Pool big window in Coastline, or Main lobby west rappel in Bank.

Playing passively and engaging defenders from a range is what Glaz can accomplish best to assist his team. Patience is the key for any sniper, and so is the case with Glaz. This niche operator can accomplish certain roles better than other attackers even though his pick rate relies heavily on map choice. Nevertheless, Glaz is a strong attacker who can be a menace to deal with, in the right hands.
