Players must first assess the map and the objective site that is in play. This will assist in choosing the primary weapon since both available options specialize in different playstyles. One important thing to keep in mind while playing this operator is that Defender teammates can also hurt themselves from Goyo's canister fire, which can become catastrophic if not set up properly.

Alongside being one of the finest area-denial operators on Defense, Goyo is also endowed with one of the most lethal SMGs in the entire game. It has a very high fire rate and quite a bit of horizontal recoil, making using this gun quite tricky for untrained hands. However, with the 25+1 magazine size, fast reload time, and correct attachments, the Vector .45 ACP can shred through opponents.

The TCSG12 is a semi-automatic slug shotgun that packs quite the punch. It can deliver a hefty amount of bullets onto targets even after having spent quite a few rounds of ammo on objective site preparation. It is effective at eliminating Attackers or putting them in a DBNO (downed but not out) state very quickly.

This is largely due to this gun's high output of 63 damage per shot. Although the magazine count is on the lower side with a noticeable recoil per bullet, proper attachments and the high destructive capability of TCSG12 make it a force to reckon with.

When picking your optimal Goyo loadout in Rainbow Six Siege, make sure to be active during the prep phase of each round as there's a lot to do before the Attackers can leave their spawn. Firstly, start placing Volcán Canisters on doorways, windows, or default plant spots where attackers are bound to come.

This will aid the Defenders, since destroying the canister will make it explode and form an area of fire. Each canister can burn for 20 seconds, which gives Defenders up to a total of 80 seconds of delay to work with. In this time denial strategy, use Volcán Canisters efficiently, and detonate them when you see fit.

If you're using the TCSG12 in your primary weapon slot, your work will be cut out for you during the prep phase. This is because making rotations, and managing lines of sight and footholes becomes your responsibility, thanks to the destructive power of the slug-shotgun. Additionally, when using this primary weapon, make sure you engage individually and pay attention to your bullet count.

As for the secondary gadgets, use the Impact Grenades to make aggressive plays and put pressure on the Attacking side. This combined with the time delay of your canisters will aid your team in securing rounds. However, if you choose to equip the Bulletproof Camera or the Proximity Alarm, let your team know the Attacker's whereabouts and assist them with intel.
