Best Honkai Star Rail Penacony character reruns to look forward to in 2025

HoYoverse usually introduces two rerun banners during each Honkai Star Rail patch. These normally go live alongside the brand-new 5-star characters’ banner, making players choose one of the two featured units. Following the custom, the developers will continue to release rerun banners featuring various characters, especially the Penacony ones.

1) Sunday

Sunday is the latest Honkai Star Rail character from Penacony. Like his sister, he follows the Harmony Path allowing his allied characters to fight adversaries with efficiency. Since Sunday’s abilities mostly benefit allied characters’ summons, he's an exceptional buffer for the Remembrance units such as Aglaea and Remembrance Trailblazer.

Since version 3.0 will be the beginning of the summon meta, Sunday’s value as a Harmony unit will skyrocket. That makes his first rerun banner, which will be released sometime in 2025, among the most anticipated ones.

2) Acheron

Moving over to the second place, we have decided to place Acheron here. She is one of the most popular DPS units who doesn’t fail to prove her usefulness in most of the end-game activities such as Pure Fiction, Memory of Chaos, and Apocalyptic Shadow. Unlike most Nihility DPS units, Acheron is quite special and works like a normal DPS character whose abilities scale with CRIT stats. Hence, building Acheron is relatively easier.

Moreover, free-to-play players can unleash their true potential and make their Acheron deal a significant amount of damage with each Ultimate hit. Overall, building and using Acheron is quite simple, making her one of the best Honkai Star Rail Penacony characters.

3) Robin

Apart from the usual hypercarry and Break Effect compositions, follow-up attack (FUA) teams boast various strong characters. Among all buffers, Robin is one of the best Harmony units players can pull and use in their teams. Her abilities are specifically curated while keeping this playstyle in mind to help the DPS units in the FUA teams unleash their full potential.

HoYoverse has added many meta-defining follow-up attack units in the character roster, such as Topaz, Jade, and Feixiao in Honkai Star Rail. With Robin’s buffs, the aforementioned characters can perform exceptionally well in various end-game activities, especially in Pure Fiction.

4) Sparkle

Sparkle is currently one of the best Harmony characters in Honkai Star Rail. Her skill grants a massive CRIT DMG boost to the targeted ally, while her ultimate regenerates four Skill Points for all teammates. Since most follow-up attack team compositions tend to eat up a significant number of Skill Points, this Masked Fool is the perfect support for them.

Apart from that, Sparkle can be placed in any team composition as long as the DPS characters’ abilities scale with the CRIT stats. This lets her be a part of numerous teams, making her one of the most desired Harmony characters from Penacony.

5) Aventurine

When it comes to sustainers, Aventurines takes the crown. Following the Preservation Path, he can provide shields to all of the allied characters simultaneously. He can also buff his allies’ outgoing damage by debuffing adversaries.

Since the damage-boosting debuff scales with CRIT DMG, Aventurine accompanies the CRIT-scaling DPS characters. Hence, he can easily be paired with the FUA and Acheron hypercarry teams. Aventurine also has an ability that lets him launch a follow-up attack, dealing a decent chunk of Imaginary damage; his collaboration with the follow-up attack teams is off the charts.

Considering all of that and due to the scarcity of Preservation characters in Honkai Star Rail, Aventurine’s rerun banner is one of the few that players will be looking forward to in 2025.
