Top 5 Talismans in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree
1) Two-Headed Turtle Talisman
The Two-Headed Turtle Talisman is arguably one of the best in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree, even if it’s just an upgraded version of the Green Turtle Talisman. While you can’t equip them both at once, this version is much better and should be sought out as soon as possible. This Talisman “Greatly raises stamina recovery speed.” It will likely replace Green Turtle in a variety of builds.
You can find the Two-Headed Turtle Talisman in a cave beneath a waterfall, east of the Rivermouth Cave. There are enemies in the path though, so it’s important to be careful. Almost every build in the game benefits from this Talisman. With as many fights that require dodge rolling, being able to do that more often is a great tool to have in the toolkit.
2) Talisman of All Crucibles
The Talisman of All Crucibles is incredible, in the right situations, in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree. It combines the powers of the other four Crucibles into one place. However, there is the minor drawback of it increasing damage taken, but it also offers the following benefits:
- Reduces critical damage taken
- Reduces damage and impact of headshots taken
- Improves dodge rolling effectiveness, but reduces damage negation
- Improves backsteps, but increases damage taken
Once you have access to the Ancient Ruins - Grand Stairway Site of Grace, instead, skip the elevator and go left instead. You’ll follow this path, and it will ultimately lead you to the chest containing this powerful Talisman. It brings so many benefits together into one package.

Sometimes in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree, you want to hit harder; that’s where this Talisman comes into play. The Crusade Insignia rewards you anytime you defeat an enemy, by raising your attack power by 15% for 20 seconds, anytime you defeat an enemy. Whether fighting just two bosses, or a group of smaller enemies, those foes will be defeated so much faster.
However, if you want this particular item, you’re going to need to defeat the Fire Knight Queenlign. They will invade your world while exploring the Belurat Tower Settlement, after passing through the Small Private Altar. 4) Two-Handed Sword Talisman
This particular Talisman in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree is simple but highly effective. While the Crusade Insignia temporarily buffs your attacks for defeating an enemy, this one stays active at all times for two-handed weapon users. This is one that players likely wanted to see in the base game. It “Enhances attacks with two-handed weapons,” making it desirable for many builds.
You cannot unlock this Talisman until you've been to the Temple Town Ruins. Once you’ve defeated the Horned Warrior, head up the stairs into the next room. The chest hiding away this powerful item awaits here.
5) Retaliatory Crossed-Tree
The Retaliatory Crossed-Tree aids players when they’re evading, whether it’s rolling or backstepping. Just because you evaded an attack doesn’t mean you can’t take advantage of the situation you’ve put yourself in. This Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree Talisman "Enhances attacks executed after rolling or backstepping."
To unlock it, you have to complete Leda’s questline and invade Ansbach. Afterwards, return to the Grace where you speak with Leda, and wrap up the conversation. After saying goodbye to her, she’ll grant you the Retaliatory Crossed-Tree as a gift.
