5 Solo Leveling Arise tips to get you started on your journey
1) Progress through Story Missions
While it may seem tempting to skip past Story Missions as soon as you are done with the tutorial, it is highly recommended to clear these missions at your earliest. This is especially important once you realize that almost every in-game content is locked behind these Story Chapters, such as the Battlefield of Trials and Time game mode.
Additionally, progressing through both main and side missions rewards you with a ton of EXP and Custom Draw Tickets, which can be used within the game’s gacha banners.
2) Don’t skimp on daily missions and Challenges
Daily missions make up a major part of your playthrough in Solo Leveling Arise and are easy-to-complete objectives that offer a set of cumulative rewards. These rewards include Reputation, EXP, and Gold, which can be used to progress through the game and strengthen your roster faster.
Additionally, daily missions reward a total of 100 Essence Stones upon completion, and 250 more Essence Stones weekly which can be used on the game’s various banners.
3) Make sure to clear Gates
Most of your time will be spent clearing Gates in Solo Leveling Arise. Gates refer to dungeons filled with dangerous monsters that must be cleared to obtain lucrative rewards. They are divided into two variants — Character-only and Hunter-only.
Gates are also ranked from D to S, in order of increasing difficulty and of the rewards on offer.
Clearing these challenges is important as it unlocks “Mining”. Mining can in turn be used to generate Mana Crystals, an important resource for item crafting. Note that Mining is more of an AFK farm process, and can continue even while you are logged out of the game.
This also extends into the Activity Fund, which is farmed while you remain AFK.
4) Manage your pull resources wisely
The gacha in Solo Leveling Arise is divided into both player-specific (Sung Jingwoo only) and hunter-specific banners. The player-specific banner includes weapons for Sung Jingwoo, and cannot be equipped on other characters.
On the other hand, hunter-specific banners are divided into both character and weapon gachas, which in turn refer to playable characters in Hunter Battles.
As a beginner, you will have access to only the Selection Draw and Rate Up Draw banners, which can be summoned on using the Selection Draw and Special Draw Tickets respectively.
Always make sure to use your precious Essence Stones on the Rate Up Draw banner, and never on the Selection Draw banner, as these are much harder to obtain.
5) Use Artifacts to boost power
Much like Genshin Impact, players can equip a set of Artifacts in Solo Leveling Arise to boost their combat prowess. These items can be equipped on both JInwoo and other hunters, and offer additional stat bonuses when paired in a set.
Artifacts can be further enhanced to boost their power, increasing their base stats and main perk. Additional perks are also enhanced and added at random past certain levels.
These basic tips should get you started on Solo Leveling Arise, and help avoid some common beginner mistakes. Stay tuned for more updates on Sportskeeda.
