The Druid in Clash of Clans is a versatile Dark Elixir ground unit introduced in the game's June update. This unit possesses dual-role capabilities and is unlocked when the Dark Barracks is upgraded to Level 11. In its human form, the Druid heals ground and air troops, unlike the Healer, which only heals ground troops. In its bear form, the Druid becomes a defense-targeting troop, possessing an impressive 180 DPS (Damage Per Second) at the highest upgrade level.

For the first 30 seconds after deployment, the Druid uses its staff to heal allied troops. These healing projectiles can bounce between up to five targets, affecting both ground and air units. Notably, the Druid’s healing cannot target Siege Machines but is fully effective on Heroes.

A blue bar above the Druid’s head indicates this 30-second timer, slowly filling up until the Druid transforms into a Bear. If the Druid's health is depleted before the timer ends, it will transform into a Bear immediately. This article highlights the best tips to use Druid in Clash of Clans.

Here are the required tips to use Druid in Clash of Clans:

  • Hero dive strategy: Deploy the heroes alongside Druid in Clash of Clans, particularly in a hero dive portion of the attack, for a quick but effective healing boost. Unlike air-based Healers, the Druid doesn’t need protection from air defenses, making it ideal for ground-based support.
  • Single Target Inferno: Use an Ice Golem to tank and freeze Single Target Infernos to protect the Druid and Barbarian King during the attack. This will protect Druid from Single Target Inferno during the attack.
  • Pair the Druid with Root Riders: The Druid’s initial healing supports Root Riders effectively, and once transformed, the Bear helps the Root Riders to take down defenses.
  • Avoid hybrid attacks: The Druid in Clash of Clans is less effective in hybrid attacks where Miners and Hog Riders jump over walls, leaving the Bear behind. Avoid placing it in places with many walls during raids as it will lock the Bears inside.
  • Limit numbers: Use only one or two Druids to provide initial healing, as their healing projectiles can bounce and benefit multiple troops.
  • Balancing troops: Consider the housing space and damage output. For instance, a Valkyrie deals more damage per second and occupies less space than a Druid, so balance your army composition accordingly.
  • Monitor transformations: Keep an eye on the Druid’s blue bar to anticipate its transformation and adjust your strategy accordingly. Use this unit effectively to leverage its abilities in both forms.
  • Avoid Spring Traps: The best counter for Druid's human form is a Spring Trap as it won't allow him to transform, decreasing his value in raids.
