While she is absolutely amazing at C0, unlocking further constellations will definitely boost her performance.

Genshin Impact: Best Yelan constellations

Unlocking constellations can boost the character's performance significantly in Genshin Impact, however, the associated cost of getting duplicates can make it quite expensive. As such, it is important to know the best constellations when going for them to get the most value out of your resources.

When it comes to the 5-star Hydro character, Yelan, her best constellations are C1, C2, and C6. Let's look at what each one of them offers:

Constellation 1

"Lingering Lifeline gains 1 additional charge."

Yelan's C1 provides her with an additional charge of her Elemental Skill. Not only does it allow her to perform more attacks, but it also helps her accumulate energy for her Elemental Burst.

Additionally, the extra charge of her Elemental Skill can make it much easier to traverse in the open world without worrying about its cooldown.

"When Exquisite Throw conducts a coordinated attack, it will fire an additional water arrow that will deal 14% of Yelan’s Max HP as Hydro DMG. This effect can trigger once every 1.8s."

Yelan's C2 is an extremely powerful constellation worth investing in. It improves her off-field Hydro application immensely by increasing the instances of coordinated attacks triggered by her Elemental Burst. After unlocking it, she will fire an additional arrow every 1.8 seconds that will deal damage based on her max HP.

"After using Depth-Clarion Dice, Yelan will enter the Mastermind state. In this state, all of Yelan’s Normal Attacks will be special Breakthrough Barbs. These Breakthrough Barbs will have similar abilities to normal ones and the DMG dealt will be considered Charged Attack DMG, dealing 156% of a normal Breakthrough Barb’s DMG. The Mastermind state lasts 20s and will be cleared after Yelan fires 5 arrows."

Yelan's C6 is her strongest constellation and turns her into an absolute beast, compared to the base C0 variant. It introduces a new mechanic to her gameplay called Mastermind state, which triggers after using her Elemental Burst.

Under the effects of this state, all of Yelan's normal attacks count as Breakthrough Barbs, which are her special kind of charged attacks that deal AoE Hydro DMG. These attacks deal a lot of damage and allow her to spend more time on-field.
