Black Myth Wukong is an incredibly demanding game, which isn't surprising considering the game's use of Unreal Engine 5. While the game is pretty well-optimized on PC, with plenty of options for players to tweak to get the best possible performance, it still has a few issues that need to be addressed via a title update, or hotfix.
One of the most common issues that players might face with the PC version of Black Myth Wukong is stuttering. While the game does have a lengthy shader pre-compilation step when you first boot it up on your PC, it's still prone to stuttering. This especially happens when loading between different levels, or fast traveling across checkpoints.
Thankfully, the stuttering and freezing errors can be fixed with a few small tweaks to the game's Display and Graphics settings. Here's a comprehensive guide on how to potentially fix the stuttering issues in Black Myth Wukong's PC version.

Potential fixes for stuttering and freezing errors in Black Myth Wukong PC
The biggest reason for stuttering and freezing in Black Myth Wukong is the game going over the allocated VRAM limit of your GPU. While the game doesn't use more than 8.5 gigabytes of VRAM in general gameplay, even at the Cinematic graphics preset, it is prone to spiking the VRAM amount while trying to load a new area or even a cutscene.
Additionally, the game is also incredibly heavy on storage bandwidth, which isn't surprising considering it's an Unreal Engine 5 game, complete with both Lumen and Nanite. The developer of Black Myth, Game Science, highly recommends the use of an SSD for the game, despite it featuring support for traditional HDDs.
Lastly, stuttering and freezing can also be the result of a faulty installation, which can also lead to the game crashing quite often. Thankfully, all these issues can be remedied quite easily. For the faulty installation, you can simply uninstall and redownload the entire game.
Or, you can take the much safer and easier option, i.e., verifying game files. The file verification tool on Steam basically checks through the game's installation directory for corrupted files, which isn't unusual for 100+ gigabyte downloads, and replaces them, which should fix the freezing or crashing issues with Black Myth Wukong.
If you're on a lower-end system with limited VRAM (6GB or less), make sure you're using the Medium or Low setting for Texture Quality. One thing that did help me fix the stuttering on my PC with a RX6600 GPU was using FSR Quality (33%), alongside a mix of Medium-High settings.
