Black Tassel is available within all main methods of wishing. It is always available on the Standard Wish Wanderlust Invocation as well as any Character Event Wishes, Beginner Banners, and Weapon Event Wishes. It is also a quest reward from the NPC Orban located near the Dragonspine adventurer’s camp. It is relatively common and you should be able to acquire it much more easily compared to 4 star or 5 star weapons.

Appearance
Each weapon has two forms, one when it is initially summoned and another once it has reached a certain level of ascension. Once this occurs, the weapon will undergo a change in its design. Black Tassel, ironically enough, has a long white shaft colored dark blue at the bottom, with a dark blue spearhead.

For certain builds of characters who scale off of HP like Thoma. It is an acceptable choice especially as a F2P player. However, it is virtually useless for most offensive minded polearm users with a substat that doesn’t aid damage and a very niche passive.

Zhongli and Thoma are two characters who have large HP scalings who don’t mind Black Tassel’s otherwise poor damage benefit, as their main focus is on shielding and protecting allies.
Is Black Tassel BiS for anyone?
Not even close, as it is a weapon you should pretty easily find superior options to either through crafting or wishes.

Black Tassel has a very small set of situations where you should consider using it, whether it’s early game and you simply have no other options as something just starting out or F2P, or you’re using a character that greatly desires %HP. It shouldn’t be too difficult to find a real upgrade to it regardless of what character you take into account, even its best case users.
