Personality

Bones has a Lazy behavior type and that means you won’t find him up and about early in the morning like normal or athletic villagers. While a bit lazy, that won’t stop Bones from becoming fast friends with you. Friendly and chatty, Bones will get along with normal, peppy, smug, sisterly, and other lazy villagers. However he may come into conflict with snooty and jock villagers.

Appearance

Bones Appearance

Bones is one of a kind dog villager which is very apparent just by looking at him. He bears a resemblance to a classic beagle and has a mostly white fur coat with a brown spot on his eye. Not only that, the tips of his ears are black with black eyes and light pink muzzle hands and feet. His clothing the first time you see him will change from game to game.

How to get Bones in New Horizons

Getting a villager you want in New Horizons is particularly tricky as there is only one surefire way to do so, the rest is up to luck. There are two primary methods of getting Bones in your village; the first is using Nook Miles to fly to an island and see if he is there. Keep in mind if you do this you’ll have to have an open plot available. The second method is to wait and see if he’ll appear at your campsite. Either way both methods are based on luck, so it’s completely up to chance.

Role of Bones in New Leaf

Bones is a villager again in New Leaf who appears randomly by chance and you’ll have the opportunity to invite him to stay in your town.

Role of Bones in Wild World

Much like in previous entries, Bones is a villager that you can encounter and invite to your village.

Amiibo

Bones Amiibo

A guaranteed way to get Bones on your island is to use his Amiibo card. Simply scan it with your Switch at the Town Hall. Keep in mind in order to do this you need to have both the Town Hall and Campsite constructed. Once you’ve invited him to your campsite, you simply need to do this three times and he’ll be part of your island!

Trivia

  1. Bones may take inspiration from the Wishbone series, starring a dog that looks similar to bones.
  2. Bones is the eldest of seven siblings.
