Borderlands 3 has been getting a negative response from its community since the developers revealed that the game's PC version will be an Epic Game Store timed exclusive. Borderlands 3 is slated to release on September 13, 2019, on PC/PS4/ XB1. The game will be released to the steam marketplace after 6 months of the game initial release. This 6 months time exclusivity with Epic Store has received a backlash from the Borderlands community. As a result, the Borderlands game page on Steam was flooded with negative reviews and critics. The case took a bad turn and as a result, Steam had to ignore those reviews and critics completely to avoid a false rating of the game. Steam is the best and most secure PC marketplace for buying games. Meanwhile, Epic Game Store is a simple version of an online game store with no features and claims of Chinese stealing the user data and other info.
