Calamity Queller was introduced as a featured weapon in version 2.4 alongside the Primordial Jade Winged Spear in the Epitome Invocation banner. It possesses the highest base ATK of any polearm currently in the game, and has a %ATK substat on top of a passive that grants an all Elemental Damage boost as well as boosting %ATK even further after using Elemental Skills. It is one of the strongest options in the game for off-field supports in terms of purely damage thanks to how its passive increases %ATK for characters not on the field and is Shenhe’s signature weapon.

Story
They say that this long polearm was forged using materials that are not from this world.
The weapon has passed through the hands of many loyal yet unfortunate souls.
It has seen many a slaughter begin and end, and tasted many a foul beast's flesh and blood.
It is said that a person whose job was to exorcise evil once came to the great chasm of crystal sands.
There, they retrieved an ominous, aqua-colored crystal from its depths.
Then, they hired someone to forge it into a weapon, naming it "Calamity Queller."
"If disaster should befall, this shall surely be used to calm it."
The tribespeople who made their living in the craggy mountains were not partial to either boasts or critique.
But since there was no contract signed, and such words were of no cost, they accepted them all the same.
Later, the time came when the monstrous tides scaled the bedrock, turning the cinnabar-colored earth black.
The shield-wall of the Millelith and the dark forces clashed, and any stragglers were all slain.
Like a cold star amidst the gloom, Calamity Queller flashed this way and that at the heart of the maelstrom...
When, at last, the light of the setting sun split the mournful clouds, the dark sludge sunk back into the depths of the chasm.
The Calamity Queller was also lost, together with the Yaksha who wielded it — both returned to silence.
In times thereafter, those who wielded this spear would largely meet similar fates.
But there were people who would fight without requiring orders or protect people without taking any oaths.
For them, such a fate was hardly one to be lamented...
It is also said that this spear was once borrowed from someone.
And in a deserted, water-eroded cave, it would bear witness to a clash between intimate friends.

FAQs
Is Calamity Queller good for Shenhe?
Like most signature weapons, it is perfectly crafted to fit the needs of her kit. Shenhe’s main selling point is massively boosting the damage of Cryo attacks thanks to her Elemental Skill that is based on a percentage of her own ATK, and between Calamity Queller’s gigantic base ATK stat, %ATK substat and passive that boosts %ATK even further conditionally if the character is off the field, there is simply no better option in the game for her.
Who are some good users of Calamity Queller?
As previously mentioned it is unquestionably Shenhe’s best weapon, but other characters like Xiao, Raiden Shogun, and Rosaria are all excellent users of it as well. If a character has any meaningful ATK and Elemental Damage scaling abilities at all, it will likely have a solid use for it in some way
How does Calamity Queller work?
While it passively grants an amount of Elemental Damage baseline, the way Calamity Queller’s %ATK on Elemental Skill use works is that the bonus is determined by if the character who used the skill is off the field or not. This means to use it optimally, you must keep the character off the field in order to get the max %ATK bonus.
Final Thoughts
With its absolutely gargantuan base ATK and broadly applicable passive, Calamity Queller is one of the strongest damage options in the game for Polearm users. Its only real weakness is that it will require well rolled artifacts to make up for its lack of a Crit substat. This is more than made up for with its bounty of offensive benefits, and you should be very happy should you find yourself in possession of it.
