Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 dominating the Twitch stream scene more than a decade after its release is arguably one of the strangest observations. While Modern Warfare 3 has been a massive critical and fan success, it's a game that came before Twitch and the streaming revolution in general.

Many fans claim how the Call of Duty games from the bygone era are significantly better than today's products. Modern Warfare 3 was released in 2011, and the title continued the success of the previous games in its line.

Despite being a product of an earlier time, the game has now broken several Twitch viewer records, all thanks to the community's efforts.

Spanish community tournament helps Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 break viewership records on Twitch

The Call of Duty community is known for its strong bond, and it remains one of the largest communities in the gaming community. Although Activision releases one Call of Duty title every year, the community often hosts tournaments and other kinds of stuff that help keep the older games alive.

Thanks to a community organized by the Spanish streamer community, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 viewership numbers stand at a great point. Even more impressive is that the numbers are higher than that of recent popular titles like Elden Ring. It's also outcompeting even a much younger game in its series - Call of Duty Warzone.

The community tournament has been organized by some of the largest members of the Spanish streaming community. In many ways, the tournament feels like the recently held revival days, which were massive successes.

In those revival days, players from worldwide had reunions in the virtual sense. Gamers played older Call of Duty titles once again to enjoy the glory days. So far, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops II have been part of these revival days.

Although the events organized by Spanish-speaking streamers are quite different, the main purpose feels pretty similar. While not every player has been able to join in-game, the event is open to all fans for viewership. A person will need to go to Twitch and enjoy the streams.

As good as older titles like Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 were, they came after the streaming revolution. However, the game is starting to relive its former glory once more, all thanks to its community.
