EA FC 25 is now available worldwide across all platforms, including PC, and fans of the series are wondering if you can Family Share the game on Steam. The Steam Family feature is extremely popular due to its game-sharing capabilities, allowing multiple users to access a title purchased on one account. Unfortunately, this might not be the case for the latest football simulation game by EA Sports.

As the second installment in the rebranded EA Sports FC franchise after the end of their long-standing partnership with FIFA, EA FC 25 is expected to break sales records and outperform its predecessors. The game offers a brand new tactical approach to the virtual pitch that is entertaining and immersive, so not being able to Family Share the game on Steam comes as a massive disappointment.

Sharing games with your friends and family has always been the most fun and social aspect of gaming in general. While this was much easier in the age of physical discs, there are several features that allow digital titles to be shared as well.

EA FC 25 in particular can be shared by multiple accounts via Game Sharing on the PlayStation console. Unfortunately, this does not apply to the Family Sharing feature on Steam.

What is Family Sharing?

Family Sharing is part of the Steam Families feature released recently, providing gamers with the ability to share their purchased titles with up to five other accounts. This system is easy to set up and use, and can be accessed via the Steam Client, mobile devices, and web browsers.

Why is EA FC 25 not eligible for the Family Share feature on Steam?

Although only one account can access a particular game at a time, this is still a very useful feature that applies to a variety of games across multiple genres. However, there are certain reasons why EA FC 25 is not included.

As per the FAQs provided on Steam's website, it is not possible to Family Share games that require a third-party key, account, or subscription. Similar to a lot of other titles by EA Sports, the latest installment in the EA Sports FC franchise also falls under this category, as gamers require a separate EA account to access online features like Ultimate Team within the game.

This will certainly be disappointing for fans of the sport who want to share the game with a friend or a family member, as they will have to purchase the game separately on their individual Steam accounts.
