Black Myth Wukong's combat system starts quite simple, but once you sink in a few hours into the game, it gets significantly more complex, with new spells, abilities, and stances. However, one thing that the title never makes clear to the players is whether there's an ability to actively parry attacks, akin to how the combat system works in Sekiro.
Given the similarities between Sekiro Shadow Die Twice and Black Myth Wukong's combat system and progression, it's only natural for players to be curious about a parry system in the new title. However, Black Myth Wukong doesn't feature a parry system, not in the traditional form anyway.
However, if you're still craving for parries in GameScience's latest action RPG, there's still a way to counter attacks without having to dodge them. The only catch here is that parrying attacks cannot be done indefinitely and requires you to use a spell.

How to parry attacks in Black Myth Wukong
It should be noted that Black Myth Wukong isn't built around parries. Instead, the combat system here is entirely based on dodges, akin to that in the Bayonetta or the Devil May Cry games. However, if you still want to use parries or are looking for an alternative to dodging attacks, you will need to use the Rock Solid Spell, which replaces Cloud Step.
You get the Rock Solid Spell after defeating the Tiger Vanguard boss in Chapter 2, near the Crouching Tiger Temple. The Rock Solid Spell essentially hardens the Destined One's skin temporarily, making him invulnerable to attacks for a short duration.
Additionally, the Rock Solid Spell culls any Four Banes effect that might've been inflicted upon the Destined One. However, while you're using the Rock Solid Spell, you can't move. Doing so breaks the spell prematurely and leaves you vulnerable to enemy attacks. You can also upgrade Rock Solid to further its effects and duration.
As for how you can parry using the spell, it's a pretty straightforward process. You essentially need to time activation of the Rock Soild Spell right before an enemy attack lands on the Destined One. Doing so rebounds the enemy's attack, giving you a good few seconds to land your own attacks or better, a fully charged heavy attack (with two or more Focus levels).
You can also use the Ring of Fire Spell to counter enemy attacks, but since it has a much longer activation animation, it's not all that viable for parrying attacks.
Do note that casting spells costs Mana, which, unlike Stamina, isn't unlimited. Hence, you will need to revert to dodging attacks once you run out of MP to cast Rock Solid.
