Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will be released worldwide in just a few days. However, the game is already available for Premium Edition and Collector's Edition owners as part of its early access. While the game looks absolutely stunning in FPP, players may wonder if they could change the camera settings and play the game in TPP mode as well.

By default, the game runs only in First Person mode. After all, Bethesda Softworks and Machine Games are known for making some of the most immersive FPP games like the Wolfenstein series. However, you will get a fair share of TPP moments in the game as well.

You can enjoy many TPP moments in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle

While the game does not let you switch to a third-person perspective, there are a lot of cut-scenes that are in TPP. There are so many such scenes that the total length comes up to about four hours. Hence, you will be able to witness the story from the third-person perspective.

On top of this, there are many moments during the gameplay where you will witness Indy in third-person mode. This happens while moving a box or shifting gear in the game. As soon as you interact with these objects and start pushing them, you switch to TPP for a few seconds. Once you are done, the game shifts back to the first-person perspective.

MachineGames reveals why the game is in FPP

When it was announced that Indiana Jones and the Great Circle would not feature a third-person perspective, this led to some debate among the fans. While many gamers preferred playing in the FPP mode, some liked the TPP mode. During a conversation with Lucasfilm, developers from MachineGames shed light on their decision:

"First-person gameplay is part of MachineGames’ DNA, and we wanted to see how we could use this to create a really immersive experience around stepping into the shoes of the world’s most famous archaeologist."
