Can you play Off The Grid in first-person?

No, you cannot play Off The Grid in first-person mode. You can only play the game in third-person mode, which is the default camera perspective in the game. The only time in the game you can experience a first-person perspective is when you are aiming down the sights with Sniper Rifles but that is to be expected from any modern shooter in 2024.

So as it currently stands, Off The Grid is exclusively a third-person battle royale experience that can be played on PC through Epic Games, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Will there be a first-person mode in Off The Grid?

As of now, there have been no official announcements or plans of a first-person mode in Off The Grid. Gunzilla Games, the developers of OTG, claim the game to be an AAA third-person battle royale shooter with a cyberpunk theme.

However, it won't be surprising if a first-person mode is added down the line with popular demand. For a genre-defining game, PUBG, another battle royale game, was also initially a third-person shooter. However, as it rose in popularity and demand for a first-person mode increased, the developers decided to implement the first-person mode.

Hence, if developers see a rise in the game's acceptability and fans demand an FPS mode, it might be added later in the title. But for now, players are limited to a third-person mode only.

Note that for PUBG, the FPS mode implementation was done in the Early Access phase by creating a separate playlist. Hence, it is possible that if fans demand, different playlists can be created for OTG that are strictly first-person as it is too currently in Early Access, and making drastic changes shouldn't be an issue for the developers.

How to play Off The Grid Early Access on all platforms

Follow the undermentioned steps to play Off The Grid Early Access on all the platforms:

PC (Epic Games)

• Download and install the Epic Games Store on your Windows PC.
• Create or log into your account.
• Look up the game on the store page.
• Find the game and select Get.
• Head over to your Library and install the game.

PS5

• Go to the PlayStation Store.
• Search for the game.
• Find and game and select Add to Library.

Xbox Series X (Early Access is not available for Series S)

• Go to the Xbox Store.
• Look up the Xbox Insider Hub app.
• Download and install it.
• Select the Joint prompt when it appears.
• Navigate to the Previews Tab.
• Locate the game.
• Select Join to enroll in the OTG Early Access.

If you follow the steps above correctly, you can download and play the latest battle royale on your system.

Do that it is currently in the Early Access phase and there are performance issues and bugs reported on all the platforms. Moreover, being an Unreal Engine 5 game, it can be quite demanding, even on the latest hardware.
