Vehicular travel is an important aspect of exploration, allowing you to traverse the world using a Speeder in Star Wars Outlaws. But can you shoot from a Speeder? After all, the planets in Ubisoft's latest open-world action-adventure game are far from peaceful, with enemy factions ready to strike at protagonist Kay Vess even when she's engaged in travel.
As such, defending herself will be necessary to reach the destination safely. Sadly, there are no traditional modes of offensive counterattacks, so no you cannot shoot back at pursuers in Star Wars Outlaws - at least not in the expected manner.

Can Kay use her blaster while riding a Speeder in Star Wars Outlaws?
While Kay cannot manually aim at foes in pursuit while on a Speeder, she can use her Adrenaline Rush ability. This mechanic, when charged up, allows marking to auto-kill targeted foes akin to the Dead Eye system from Rockstar Games' Red Dead Redemption series. At the same time, her surroundings will slow down, giving players better control over which foe to prioritize.
To fill this meter, Kay must perform evasive maneuvers like dodging and avoiding incoming fire from enemies. Once the gauge is full, press the X key on the keyboard, or the LS + RS on the Xbox controller and the PS5 DualSense controller to initiate Adrenaline Rush. This will allow aiming at foes and executing them once they have been marked.

That said, while Kay can also perform Adrenaline Rush on foot, the Speeder will likely see more action on that end due to how the gauge works. This means players must know how to maneuver the Speeder well. The vehicle is fast even without upgrades, so learning how to control is important.
Sometimes, the Speeder can feel a tad slippery in action. In other words, players will have to get better at avoiding taking damage while on the Speeder to be able to shake off pursuers faster.
Star Wars Outlaws is available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S platforms. Read our full review to find out if Kay's latest adventure is a smash hit or not.
