Can you use Split Screen in XDefiant?

No, you cannot use Split Screen in XDefiant. The feature isn't supported in the game at the moment and developers are yet to mention or even hint at its arrival in the shooter. More and more first-person shooters are phasing out the Split Screen feature from their games and XDefiant is likely one of them. Hence, if you have plans for a couch gaming session with your friends, you are unfortunately out of luck at the moment.

As Split Screen and private lobbies currently are not an option in XDefiant, adding your friends and inviting them to your party is the only way to game with them.

Here's how you can do so:

• Launch the game and go to the 'Social' tab located at the top right corner.
• From here, select 'Ubisoft Connect'. (You and your friends must have a Ubisoft Connect account)
• Use the search feature and look up your friend's gamer tag.
• Once found, select the 'Add' button. This will send them a friend request. After they have accepted your request, you can invite them to your party.
• Go to 'Social' again and select 'Ubisoft Connect'.
• If your friend is online, scroll down to your gamer tag and select 'Invite'.

That's it. Once they accept your invitation, they will join your party. Now, simply go to the Play menu, select a mode you like, and you are all set for a fun session with your friends.

Please note that in some cases, although you will be able to add your friends and invite them to your party, the game may not allow you to play together. To resolve this, ensure that Crossplay is enabled for all the members involved in the party.

Follow the steps below to turn on Crossplay so that you can play with your friends on all platforms:

• From the game's lobby, go to 'Settings'.
• Select 'Matchmaking & Account'.
• Turn on 'Crossplay' and turn off 'Input-based Matchmaking'.

If all of your friends are using controllers, then it is recommended to turn on Input-Based Matchmaking.
