Emilie is a new character released in Genshin Impact version 4.8. She is a Dendro 5-Star character from Fontaine and is a Polearm user and can fit in the role of an on-field/off-field sub-DPS. However, her team compositions are very specific due to her niche kit, which is based on buffing Burning reactions.

Keeping this in mind, let's take a look at some characters who can benefit from having Emilie on their teams.

Emilie's kit allows her to not only deal extra damage against enemies affected by Burning but also provide 85% burn res to all characters in the party. As such, Emilie's best teammates include Pyro characters or characters that can utilize her Burning buffs.

1) Kinich

Even though Kinich is a Dendro character, he will greatly benefit from having Emilie on his team. According to Kinich's kit leaks, he has a passive which grants him extra Nightsoul points if nearby enemies are affected by Burning or Burgeon reactions. Additionally, Emilie's Burning RES buff ensures that Kinich can deal more damage without players being forced to switch him out due to self-burn damage.

2) Xiangling

Since Emilie's Burn buffs need a steady application of both Dendro and Pyro, an on-field Pyro DPS Xiangling can benefit from her addition to the team. Even if you want to switch it up and play Emilie on-field and Xiangling off-field, this duo will still be very viable. A well-built Xiangling can dish out amazing damage, and adding Dendro and Burning reactions into the mix will only increase her raw output potential.

Dehya's usefulness and DPS capabilities have often been questioned by players, but pairing her up with Emilie might very well change that notion. Emilie can provide a steady application of Dendro via her Lumidouce Case and Dehya can efficiently deal damage without dying from the Burning reactions, thanks to Emilie's Burn RES buff. Remember to give Dehya a good DPS build to maximize her DMG output.

If you want to run a mono-Pyro team with Arlecchino as the main DPS, pairing her with Emilie is a very good option. Emilie's off-field Dendro application will be very helpful in triggering constant Burn reactions when coupled with Arlecchino's high-speed Pyro attacks. Add in characters like Xiangling and Bennett, and this team might very well turn out to be one of Arlecchino's best-performing teams.

Thoma's Elemental Burst can be used to trigger constant Burning reactions, thanks to Emilie's steady Dendro application. Since his Elemental Burst deals coordinated Pyro attacks when other characters attack the enemy (using their normal attacks), adding Emilie to a team with Thoma and Arlecchino will increase everyone's damage potential.
