In its December update, Supercell introduced Hero Equipment, including the Clash of Clans Barbarian Puppet. These allowed players to choose equipment for their Heroes that granted them special abilities. Earlier, these characters used to have default skills that couldn't be changed. Thanks to this addition, special abilities are flexible and can be altered based on the attack strategy.

The Barbarian Puppet was among the first Hero Equipments to be released. It allows the Barbarian King to spawn numerous Barbarians that aid him in destroying his targets and used to be his default skill.

The Clash of Clans Barbarian Puppet delivers an active ability to the Barbarian King, allowing him to summon a horde of raged Barbarians that help him wipe out his targets. Note that these summoned units can be eliminated by high splash damages caused by Eagle Artillery, Mortars, and Scattershots. So, consider taking them down before activating the ability.

How to best use the Clash of Clans Barbarian Puppet equipment

You can use Barbarian Puppet to deal with Inferno Towers since these defenses, especially those set to target a single enemy, are the biggest hindrances on your way to conquering an enemy village. You can deal with them by dropping the Lightning Spells on them, which restarts their increasing damage, or using Barbarian Puppet.

Since the equipment spawns a horde of Barbarians, it helps you distract Inferno Towers from attacking more important units, such as Heroes. Hit the King's active button the moment you near these defenses to save your King and other prime troops in your army composition.
