Clash of Clans features numerous in-game currencies, including Gold, Elixir, Dark Elixir, Gem, Raid Medals, and League Medals. League Medals are used to purchase rare items from the in-game shop's League Shop section. Players can also purchase Hero skins with these medals.
Unlike other currencies, like Gold and Elixir, League Medals can only be earned once a month in Clan War Leagues. These are the tournaments wherein eight clans are grouped and pitted against each other one by one for a week, called Battle Week. The clan that scores the highest number of stars by the end of the week is declared the winner.
Each clan receives rewards at the end of the Battle Week according to their position on the tournament's leaderboard and League level. Each clan member receives 20% of the total League Medals that their clan earns. Moreover, the leader and co-leader can gift bonus rewards to any clan member.
Rewards
Apart from War attack bonuses, a clan receives clan medals based on their position in the war. Clan co-leaders and leaders can assign bonus League Medals as a reward to the best-performing members of the clan.
