The latest update has brought a new helper for the builder in Builder's Apprentice to help you upgrade your buildings faster, Druid, the new troop in COC, and a new Tactical Overview that makes the Multiplayer Battles easier and more enjoyable.

This article will discuss all the details about the Clash of Clans June Update patch notes as the update launches on June 18, 2024.

The Clash of Clans June Update patch notes: Here is everything you need to know

The Clasher community has been elated to experience the update since the Super Content Creators started rolling out the Sneak Peeks about the update around a week ago. Since the update is finally live, and the Clash of Clans June Update patch notes are posted on the official website, here is everything you must know about it.

Clash of Clans June Update patch notes: Builder's Apprentice

The Builder's Apprentice was announced in the first Sneak Peek, along with the Hard Mode, Tactical Overview, and other features (described later in the article). The official patch update states:

  • Builder’s Apprentice is a brand-new character found in Town Hall 10 and above, costing 500 Gems to recruit permanently. Once Builder’s Apprentice arrives in your Village, he will wait patiently for your orders at the Town Hall.
  • The Builder’s Apprentice is able to speed up Builder Upgrades of the player’s choosing for 1 hour every 23 hours.
  • Once the Builder’s Apprentice has been assigned to help, the 23-hour cooldown begins.
  • Upgrading the Apprentice (up to Level 8) makes him more efficient in that one hour and the upgrade progresses further in that hour.
  • Builder Potion does not affect Builder’s Apprentice.
  • Builder’s Apprentice can only be used in the Home Village and cannot be assigned to help Builders in the Forge.

Druid is the latest addition to the vast roster of troops in Clash of Clans. This Dark Troop, when deployed, acts as a Healer, healing up to five allies nearby at the same time. However, once it transforms into the Bear, they become the destroyer of enemy bases. The second COC update Sneak Peek talked about this new unit. Per the official Clash of Clans June update patch notes:

  • The Druid is the very first unique new troop that starts off as a ground healer. However, after a few seconds, or if knocked out, the Druid will shapeshift into a Bear!
  • Healing details: Ground, Jumps.
  • Healing: Long-range projectile that bounces to other friendly troops nearby. The healing hits up to 5 troops but will not bounce to Siege Machines. It can target both ground and air troops, and the projectile can bounce between air and ground troops.
  • Bear details: Ground, slow movement speed, does not Jump, and has high HP.
  • Melee Attack: Melee range, targets defenses.
  • Only after the shapeshifted form loses all HP will the Druid be permanently knocked out.
  • The Druid is unlocked in Town Hall 14, requires Dark Elixir Barracks level 11, and comes with 4 levels: 2 at Town Hall 14 and 1 for Town Hall 15 and 16 each.

Clash of Clans June Update patch notes: Tactical Overview

While the Clash of Clans June Update patch notes arrive with a new builder and a new troop, the Tactical Overview is probably the one feature that will excite the community the most. As mentioned in the official patch notes:

  • You can now select the defender's buildings before deploying your first troop, spell, or Hero.
  • Selecting a building will also highlight all other buildings of the same type.
  • Selecting a single Archer Tower will select and highlight all Archer Towers in the village.
  • In addition, selecting a single Hero Altar will select all Hero Altars.
  • Defensive buildings will show the range as well as their configuration if they have any. For example:
  • Inferno Towers will specify if they are set to multi or single-target.
  • Mortars will show their minimum and maximum range.
  • Builder Huts will show their healing range.
  • Spell Towers will show their spell range.
  • Selected buildings will also show their current level!
  • Resource Storage and Resource Production buildings will show the amount of loot they contain! If there are no resources that can be looted from these, they will show their level instead.
  • The Clan Castle will also show how much defending troop housing it will spawn.
  • Town Halls level 12 and higher will also show what level the Town Hall weapon is.

Clash of Clans June Update patch notes: Hard Mode

Hard Mode is another great inclusion in the game in this update. When you attack your in-game friends' or Clanmates' bases in the friendly challenges and friendly wars, you can select Hard Mode to check the full strength of the troops.

  • Players can use the check box to initiate Hard Mode when creating Friendly Challenges and Friendly Wars.
  • In Hard Mode, Defenses deal +5% more damage, and attacking Heroes have -10% less HP and -15% less DPS.

However, do note that the Clash of Clans June Update patch notes also mentioned this as a work in progress feature, and promised more evolution for this feature arriving in the upcoming updates.

Clash of Clans June Update patch notes: Time and Cost Reduction

In the patch overview video, the developer talked about reducing the gap between different Town Hall levels. They have taken the first step by reducing the Time and Cost of different upgrades in different Town Hall: As the Clash of clans June Update patch notes mentions:

  • Reduced the resource upgrade costs and upgrade times for a large variety of upgrades across many Town Hall levels, including defenses, troops, spells, heroes, and pets.

Clash of Clans June Update patch notes: Quality of Life Changes

  • If any of your Equipment Ore storage is full, the Blacksmith will display a bubble “Full!”, and will cycle thorough the icons of the Ore types that are full.
  • The Clan Castle will now start in Sleep mode rather than Guard mode when rebuilt.
  • Changed equipment's initial target selection so it takes building size into account instead of targeting the building middle point. This reduces the likelihood of targeting the wrong building with Fireball and also affects Seeking Shield and Spiky Ball.
  • Added a reminder for obstructed defensive layout in Builder Base when attacking in case defensive layout was selected but blocked by obstacles.
  • Players can now reorder their list of Supercell ID profiles when switching between multiple accounts.

Clash of Clans June Update patch notes: Bug fixes

The Clash of Clans June Update patch notes has also promised some bug fixes such as:

  • Previously, Yetis would spawn 1 yetimite when they took accumulated damage of 600, but if they took 1800 damage in one single attack, it would still spawn only 1 yetimite. We changed it so that when taking damage, it spawns 1 yetimite per 600 damage taken; for example, if a yeti takes 1800 damage, it will spawn 3 yetimites at once.
  • Fixed error stating “Gold is not a valid reward type” or “Elixir is not a valid reward type” - which would occasionally happen when the game was loading.
  • The duration of Jump and Freeze Spells in the spell info screen is shown even if the spell has no upgrade levels.
