The Concord open beta has been out for a while now, but it appears to have changed nothing when it comes to generating a big buzz among PC players on Steam. The game is going to be released on the PS5 and it will also come to PC via Steam. Its early access beta performed poorly in attracting a massive player count last week and the current open beta seems to be no exception.

Concord is set to launch next month globally and will be a paid, $40 hero shooter on PS5 and PC. However, it appears that a lot of PC users aren't that interested in even trying it, considering the concurrent player count of the free open beta.

Concord open beta is failing to generate buzz among PC players on Steam

The Concord open beta was rolled out on July 18, 2024, for PS5 as well as PC via Steam digital store front. As of now, it's not known how many PlayStation owners are jumping in to try out the FPS title, but we do have a considerable amount of data for PC.

As revealed by SteamDB website, the Concord open beta has managed to reach an active peak concurrent player count of just 2,388 as of this writing. It's been available for a day now. On the other hand, its general active player count isn't promising either, being just over 1,200 users.

These figures are not at all promising, especially considering that Concord is going to be one of PlayStation's biggest first-party IPs to release in the second half of 2024.

Last week, Concord's early access beta on PC was plagued with serious bugs, considering which one could say that it was a key reason behind the game initially registering a low number of players on Steam. However, the same argument can't be made now given that the developers have already fixed a lot of major errors.

It will be intriguing to see if Concord will lure a huge amount of PC owners on its launch next month. It's set to arrive on August 23, 2024.
