A new content update is coming for the Halo: The Master Chief Collection, confirmed by 343 Industries. It’s said that the client side update is in the testing and certification phase. Since the game lauched, it has suffered from a nearly unplayable multiplayer suite, with problems ranging from slow matchmaking to mismatched teams, frequent disconnects, input lag, and an unreliable party system.
343 and Microsoft have been working around the clock issuing server-side updates and fixes, but Executive Producer Dan Ayoub says that “Resolving Matchmaking issues also requires client-side fixes, which require a content update.” This is what the developer had to say on thier forum about what the team is working on:
"Looking at our data logs, server-side adjustments that we have made over the past 24 hours have shown a 20% increase in server connectivity," said Ayoub. "However, we are well aware that performance is not where it needs to be.
"We know the current Matchmaking experience is frustrating, and we continue to have various teams working 24/7 to isolate and resolve the issues to provide the best experience as soon as possible," Ayoub added. "We are going to continue to optimize the matchmaking experience after next week's content update, and make further adjustments as needed. We thank you for your continued patience."
The developers are doing thier best to get the game back on track. So don’t forget to get the update on November 19th..
