In a recent X post from PGL, the company promised to provide the best gaming experience for participants in the next tournaments, especially with the RTX graphics cards.
However, it all went downhill from the point where Virtus.Pro’s Jame faced a fatal game crash during the 23rd round of the Swiss stage in the tournament. As a result, it cost them the round, failing them to qualify for the playoffs in PGL Major Copenhagen. In light of this incident, some netizens blamed the PGL authority while others criticized Valve for the game's poor condition.

CS2 devs resolved PGL Copenhagen Major 2024 crash issue
As mentioned, CS2 devs have finally resolved the ‘graphics driver crashing’ issue for the RTX cards. During the tournament, Virtus.pro’s primary AWPer and IGL, Jame, faced a devastating CS2 crash and lost a golden opportunity to qualify for the PGL Copenhagen Major 2024 playoffs stage.
In the 23rd round of the Swiss stage, Virtus.pro was ready to counter the retake scenario from G2. However, in the middle of the scenario, Jame’s PC suddenly crashed, causing him to be forced out in the open making him an easy target for Hooxi. As a result, G2 made an easy retake and cemented their way toward the playoffs stage.
However, the scenario could’ve been different if there was no malfunction in the graphics drivers. Later, PGL addressed this issue and promised to work with Nvidia and Valve to provide a lag and crash-free experience in the tourneys.
Now, finally, after months of hard work, CS2 devs and PGL have jointly worked with Nvidia and managed to resolve this crash issue for the RTX Graphics cards.
