The CS2 Esports World Cup tournament is currently underway after commencing in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on July 17, 2024. Perhaps the largest esports competition the world has ever seen, this event will be highly rewarding for its winners. It has three stages and 15 participating teams. 14 CS2 teams had made it to the opening stage, where they competed against each other once in a single best-of-three matchup.

The winners qualified for the playoff quarterfinals stage. The squads that lost went to the Play-In stage, where single-elimination best-of-one matches decided their fates.

Where to watch the CS2 Esports World Cup tournament

The CS2 Esports World Cup is one of the most ambitious tournaments in the world right now, and major teams such as G2 Esports and NaVi are all vying to win the top prize.

Since this is a Tier-1 competition, fans must be more than excited to watch the upcoming matches unfold live. To tune in to them, you can keep an eye on the official Esports World Cup YouTube and Twitch channels. Here are the links to both.


Full prize pool details

The CS2 Esports World Cup tournament has a massive prize pool of $1 million. Out of this, the winner will receive $400,000. The team in second place will get $175,000, and the third and fourth-placed squads will receive $85,000 each.

All the 15 participants will return home with at least $10,000 in their hands. Here is how much each team will win according to their standings in the competition:

The Esports World Cup also has the Club Championship section where various squads battle against one another for a piece of its $20 million prize pool. The top two teams from the World Cup will win 1,000 and 600 Club Points each. This will help them climb the Club Championship ladder.
