CS2 has been receiving a lot of slack from players across the world and there might be some good reasons for it. Recently, NaVi's pro player Aleksib highlighted the difference between CS2 and CS:GO in an interview, where he advised fellow Counter Strike enthusiasts to hop into the previous version of the game and shoot a bot.
Picking up on the advice, Redditor Forsaken-Guitar-7322 decided to test out Aleksib's theory. This experiment brought to light some interesting differences in the animation between the two titles.

CS:GO underwent numerous changes before it was rebranded and released as CS2. Some of these changes included adjustments to how objects and characters are animated. Apart from some maps getting reworked, player models were also modified quite heavily.
For instance, the movement of player models in CS2 is drastically different than what we have witnessed in CS:GO. A similar theme is visible when you shoot at player models in the new title. Perhaps this is exactly the difference Aleksib was trying to point out in his short interview.
Forsaken-Guitar-7322 went through the great effort of jumping into CS:GO and kick-starting a custom server just to shoot at a bot. The player then did the same in CS2 to show how the bots react differently upon being shot in the head with an AK47 at point-blank range.
The main difference was in how player models took the bullet to the head. In CS2, the blood becomes visible after 19 frames from when the bullet hits, the model begins to react at 27 frames, and the kill feed starts fading into the screen at 31 frames.
Meanwhile, in CS:GO the player model reacts in a single frame after being shot and the kill feed starts fading into the screen at eight frames. All in all, the animation delay in CS2 is higher compared to its predecessor. In fact, the Redditor revealed that the new title is at least 60 milliseconds slower than the previous iteration.
The Counter Strike franchise has been hit by one criticism after another after the release of the new title. This animation delay, as pointed out by Aleksib, is perhaps yet another reason for the CS2 community to protest against the game
That being said, fans and players have no other choice but to accept this change along with all the others in Counter Strike 2. Valve seems rather confident about these new changes and that means we won't be seeing any major modifications anytime soon.
