While Cyberpunk 2077 didn't have the best of starts when it was released in December 2020, developer CD Projekt Red has since patched and fixed the game. Now, two years later, the action role-playing video game has sold over 18 million copies, with a sequel in the works. Furthermore, CD Projekt Red has announced the game's first, and possibly only, DLC expansion.
Phantom Liberty, the expansion, will bring a new setting, new content, and will reportedly see superstar Keanu Reeves reprise his role in Cyberpunk 2077. Outside of the various patches that fixed the game for consoles, this is the first major addition of new content to Cyberpunk 2077.
Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty Story details
Although CD Projekt Red acknowledged that Cyberpunk 2077 will receive a DLC expansion to its story, few details are known about the Phantom Liberty DLC's plot. The expansion may, however, take the form of a "spy thriller," as the trailer and the developers have both confirmed that the DLC will take place in a brand-new location within Night City. Additionally, actor Keanu Reeves, who can be heard in the trailer, has confirmed that he will reprise his role as Johnny Silverhand.

Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty’s Release Date
The Phantom Liberty DLC expansion release date has not yet been confirmed by CD Projekt Red, but they have confirmed that it will happen sometime in 2023.
Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty New DLC Features
It's difficult to determine exactly what new content or features will be added with the Phantom Liberty DLC based on everything CD Projekt Red said during the announcement. This is because most of the "new features" were spoken of in a more general capacity. Thus, it is difficult to determine whether the new features mentioned would be available generally in the future or only after the Phantom Liberty DLC is released.
