Fans of the survival horror video game DayZ have all reasons to smile now. The game was recently announced for PS4 (even though the release date isn’t confirmed) and now judging by the comments recently made by the game’s designer Dean ‘Rocket’ Hall, it looks like the franchise is looking to expand to other consoles too, notably Xbox One.
He spoke to Eurogamer recently and spoke about the game and the possibility of it being available in different consoles in the near future.
"DayZ is definitely going to be a multi-platform title. That's the firm vision from Bohemia's standpoint. But we'll announce what all the other platforms are as we get to that point," he said.
He took Skyrim’s multi platform release as an example and explained about the changes that need to be incorporated while releasing on consoles and said, “The PC was the loser in that, because the UI had to be dumbed down. That's a good example of something we absolutely do not want to happen. But the aim will be to play on the strengths of those consoles."
