Making an effective Deadlock Mirage build can be challenging, considering that he has been added very recently to the game. Named after the popular map from another Valve superhit title, Counter-Strike, he has an amazing character design and one of the most unique abilities in the game. This hero is great for players who like a more strategic approach rather than solely relying on pure gun games.

As per Deadlock's lore, Mirage is a bodyguard for Djinn ambassador, Nashala Dion. Djinn is very powerful, but can only be in a physical form for 48 minutes before needing to rest in a vessel. To navigate the world, they rely on human bodyguards like Mirage. Mirage’s task is to ensure Nashala’s safety during Djinn's negotiations with the US government.

The controls of this character are similar to others, with the advantage that he has a slightly lower cooldown duration than the rest. This is because they are not high in damage.

Deadlock Mirage build: Abilities explained

If you are skilled enough and have good decision-making skills, you can utilize Mirage very well. Here are the details of all the abilities that make an effective Deadlock Mirage build:

  • Tornado: Transform yourself into a tornado that travels forward, damaging enemies and lifting them up in the air. After emerging from the tornado you gain bullet evasion. (32s cooldown duration)
  • Fire Beatles: Start launching fire beetles. Each beetle can be launched separately, stealing max health from enemies and applying bullet-resist reduction. Cannot apply multiple scarabs to the same enemy. The health gain from hitting heroes is 3x as effective as against non-heroes. (32s cooldown duration)
  • Djinns' Mark: Passive - Your shots apply an increasing multiplier on the target. When the multiplier on a target expires or you reach the max, it's consumed and the target suffers Spirit Damage and is briefly revealed on the map. The final damage is the base damage times the multiplier. Active - Consume multiplier on Djinn's Mark to deal its damage now. (32s cooldown duration between multipliers)
  • Traveler: Channeled. Target an ally or visible enemy hero on the minimap, then teleport to where they were when your channel started. After teleporting, you gain movement speed as well as fire rate until your next reload. (130s cooldown duration)
