Currently, you can only access Deadlock via player invites. Even in its early development stage, the title has garnered a massive playerbase.
Now, Valve is set to roll out a Ranked game mode. However, a full-on rank progression system is yet to be incorporated.
Regardless, you will still get rewarded for grinding the game hard and winning matches. Currently, you can get up to 11 medals for playing the game and progressing.
Each one of the 11 medals will have six levels each. These medals will be updated once every week.
You are required to play at least seven matches to receive a new rank in the next week. However, like many other FPS titles, you must have played Deadlock for some time in order to unlock Ranked.
You must have played 50 matches in total to unlock the Deadlock Ranked mode. Moreover, the mode is only available for solo queues. The game will probably get an update in the future where team queues will also be included in the mode.
It's very important to note that the Ranked mode won't be available for playing at all times. Currently, the casual game modes can be accessed at any time of day. However, likely due to server limitations, the Deadlock Ranked mode queue will only be open between 1-4 pm and 7-10 pm every day starting from October 15, 2024.
Finally, there are no behavior restrictions in the Ranked mode. Perhaps when the game gets a full release, it will use effective behavior-monitoring systems to weed out abusive or aggressive players. For the time being, there is no such program in place.
With the Deadlock Ranked mode on its way, it's best to start practicing with your favorite heroes in order to rank up and get more medals each progressing week.
