In layman's terms, Deadlock Spirit power makes your abilities stronger. So, the more Spirit power you have, the more damage your abilities will output. There are three basic divisions in The Curiosity Shop, they are:
- Weapon
- Vitality
- Spirit
Items under the ‘Weapon’ tab increase your Weapon damage, the ‘Vitality’ items increase your Base health, while the items in the ‘Spirit’ category increase your Spirit power. Each category is further subdivided into items based on their cost (Souls), and they get increasingly effective with their price.
For example, under the ‘Spirit’ tab, the items costing 500 Souls grant +4 Spirit power, the 1,250 Souls items give +8 Spirit power, the items costing 3,000+ Souls grant +12 Spirit power, and the items that cost 6,200+ Souls grant +16 Spirit power.

How to use Deadlock Spirit power?
As mentioned earlier, Deadlock Spirit power scales up your Hero’s abilities. However, the scaling of the abilities is not just a simple addition or a percentage. Each ability is powered up differently according to the Deadlock Spirit power modifier. You can get Spirit power from items in The Curiosity Shop or from breaking wooden boxes and other artifacts.
Not all abilities are scaled by Spirit power. To know which abilities are affected, simply press ‘TAB’ in-game, hover over your abilities, and look for a purple star. Next to the star, a multiplier will be mentioned that indicates the Spirit power modifier. Another important thing to note here is that damage is not the only thing that scales up with Spirit power. Sometimes duration, range, and other stats are also affected.
You can use the following formula to calculate the scaling up of an ability by Deadlock Spirit power:
Final Damage = Base damage + (Spirit power x Spirit power scaling modifier)
Every Hero in Deadlock is affected differently by Spirit power. Some might receive extremely high ability damage, whereas a few Heroes might get better stat boosts like movement speed and fire rate.
