Valve's new PC game Deadlock can only be accessed through friend invites from existing playtesters. However, even in this underdeveloped state, the hype around the game is rather impressive. Hundreds of thousands of players have already logged many hours in the MOBA 6v6 shooter in which you follow lanes and defeat your enemies.

One of the most important aspects of the game is collecting Souls and Unsecured Souls. This article will explain what exactly Deadlock Unsecured Souls are and how you can collect them to become stronger.

Deadlock Unsecured Souls are essentially a form of currency when you play in a match. The only catch here is, you will end up losing them to your enemies should you die in the game, akin to how Grand Theft Auto Online players can eliminate someone and take all their cash.

Regardless, it is essential to collect and keep Unsecured Souls with you to purchase abilities and upgrades, making it vital to level up and get stronger.

So, how can you get them in the first place other than by stealing them from a downed opponent?

Deadlock Unsecured Souls can be collected from Creepers as well as crates during a match. Simply find crates distributed on the map or better yet, kill Creepers in your lanes from the various camps.

Here's how the Creeper tiers work:

  • Tier 1 Creepers: These are the best options while trying to collect Unsecured Souls. Killing them is fairly easy and they spawn into the map two seconds into the game.
  • Tier 2 Creepers: These are somewhat more difficult to defeat but with good effort, it's still doable. They spawn in the map seven minutes into the match.
  • Tier 3 Creepers: These are the most difficult Creepers in the game. They too spawn after seven minutes and put up a difficult fight.

These are some fights you can take to get yourself some Deadlock Unsecured Souls. As soon as you get them, you'll see a timer running at the bottom left of the screen; once it runs out, the souls essentially become secured and get added to your total count of souls.

Creepers spawn in separate camps throughout the map. For instance, Tier 2 Creepers have about 25 camps on the map where you can go to get yourself some power-ups. Tier 3 Creepers, on the other hand, only have about eight. Keep your crosshairs in Deadlock steady as you try to win these fights for Unsecured Souls.
